The color is striking. The attack on the palate is initially fat and oily with dark fruit aromas wrapped in a dirty Caroni style. Unfortunately, the alcohol stings a little unpleasantly in the mouth, which continues until the bitter finish. Otherwise a really very dirty-fruity interplay of aromas.

Spirits Museum Tasting 29th of March 2025. A rather fruity nose, but the mechanical workshop is not far away. A little herbaceousness here, which is unusual but which adds freshness. The alcohol is too pronounced on the palate, although the freshness of the nose is almost transformed into menthol. The finish is rather long but too bitter for my taste, even though I like bitterness. A medicated taste also disturbs me. Not as good as the first Caroni in the Forgotten Gems series.

#7188 20.08.2026 As a lucky owner of a broken down car all I can do is hope it won't get too expensive, but I¨'m afraid it might....... Listening to some 180 BPM Trance on Spotify to try and reduce my stress...... Very good Caroni and it had a nice price tag at release, considering it is a Caroni. Medium intense profile with rubber, tar, leather, fruits, roasted wood, nutts, herbs and some tannins.

8,6:On the nose, industrial with rubber and tar, medicinal, red fruits with raspberry, strawberry, cherry, citrus fruits and grapes, roasted wood notes, brown, like caramel, cocoa, nuts, leather, spicy, earthy molasses with tobacco, dark with black tea, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, currants, tropical, candied fruits and dried apricots arise, some are fermented, toffee, biscuits join, molasses is slightly minty, floral. 8,5:On the palate, the attack is industrial with rubber and tar, medicinal with varnish, later menthol, slightly metallic, fruity with citrus, red fruits like cherry, some fermented, dairy hints join, dried apricots, raisins, molasses is dark with licorice, black tea, floral, earthy with tobacco, a bit minty, floral and sweet with honey, the wood is roasted with dark chocolate, leather, nuts, spicy with allspice, meaty. 8,7:The finish is long, dry and tannic, with toasted oak notes like caramel, leather, smoky, spicy, meaty, medicinal, industrial, dirty, burnt, fruity with dried fruits and molasses is sweet with honey, dark with licorice, earthy with cigar tobacco, fresh with tea..

Immediately after pouring, the nose is initially very mechanical and machine-like (machine oil). After a few minutes, the darkness clears and I hear spicy and woody notes, perfectly interwoven with dark caramel, some smoke, the tropical fruitiness as well as tea and herbs. The intensity of the nose is confirmed on the palate. The notes of dried fruit and honey create a great sweetness, which is a nice counterpart to the spicy woodiness, leather, tobacco and herbs. Everything is accompanied by a perceptible smokiness. This also brings the black tea to the fore. The long finish is just as intense and complex. Tobacco, cask and leather harmonize with fruitiness, herbal tea, earthy nuances and a hint of green bell pepper. The alcohol is well integrated. An exciting and delicious Caroni.
