Sipped neat, this white agricole runs on fresh sugarcane, minerality and lemon-peel bitterness, with pepper and green olive underneath. What surprises everyone is the ABV: at 71.2% the alcohol is remarkably well integrated, several tasters calling it a smooth sipper despite the strength. The nose gets the most love — floral, mineral, fruity. The palate is drier and more bitter than the sweet nose promises.

#5228 12.04.2025 Running some white samples at home while relaxing a bit. Nose Fresh, light sugarcane, faint herbal, light vegetal, fruits, light citrus, floral. Palate Round, balanced, fresh, oily, fruits, light sugarcane, light citrus, floral, faint grass. Finish Long and warm, oily, balanced, fresh, fruits, light citrus, floral. Empty glass Minerals, floral, citrus, light vegetal. ABV is pretty well integrated and a very smooth sipper considering the 71.2%.

Tested at the beginning of RhumFest Paris 2026. I've wanted to try this rum for a long time. In the end, you find the markers of these raw column agricultural rums: cane, cane, and more cane. A very vegetal side then. With some bitter notes, like zest. Interesting but I wonder what I'd do with a bottle.

Tasted at Rhumfest Paris 2026. I really wanted to taste this bottle at least because of the price, and also because I like Plein Soleil. Personally, I wouldn't pay this sum for a non-aged rum. The nose is very agricole. Less liked on the palate for the intense pepperiness and especially the bitterness intensified by the alcohol.

This is a really great expression that I tasted at Rhum Fest Paris 2026. Had no expectations, but it surprised me a lot as my first taste of a BdT. It’s distilled at the Saint James/ J.Bally distillery. The nose as well as at the palate it’s complex, mineral, fresh, fruity, spicy and vegetal with scents and flavors of citrus, peppers and green olives. The finish is quite long.

Great new cask strength Rhum Blanc with 9 months maturation in ceramics. Aromatically very flowery, perfumed, mineral, fruity and delicious. Alcohol surprisingly well integrated and an incredibly elegant nose!

A strong attack on the palate, almost spicy, but quickly balanced by floral and agricultural flavors. A true white agricole rum, strong but very pleasant.

Exceptional nose of fresh fruits, fresh sugar cane and a gourmandise on pastry sugar! Mouth more nuanced with a mineral attack, almost like flint. Slightly bitter or maybe olive-like. Too bad you don't find this gourmandise on the palate. On the other hand, the 71.2 degrees go down very very well! I love it. Warm and very vegetal finish.
