Well, how do I rate this now...? I have two samples of Pusser's Neison's in the decanter, with the same RX number, but bottled in the 80s and 90s. I started with the 90s bottling and wrote the tasting note accordingly. Very PM-heavy, spicy, musty, hardly any fruit. Interesting, but not my rum. Now I stick my nose into the glass with the 80s bottling and it’s clearly fruitier and more pleasant. The same impression on the palate and it also feels more powerful. I’d rather give that one 7.9 to 8.0.
