Average rum with a very pronounced solvent or glue stick nose. Few tertiary aromas on the palate. Quite disappointed for a 7-year aging.

Elegant rum, 7 years, from La Réunion, somewhat woody and spicy with a dried plum note. Very long complex finish with a slight smoky note.

Rums from the Savanna distillery are among my favorites. I recommend everyone try especially the ester-heavy pieces like Grand Arome or HERR. You haven't felt so much fruit in just a few drops of liquid for a long time.

Tasting on a campside in the south of French Nose: pretty classical balanced traditional Savannah. Agricolish. Yellow fruits. Mild wood. Cognac. Vanilla. Bit of glue. Good. Taste: starts great too. Honey sweetness. Dry. Sugarcane. Something floral, chamomille. And something I recognise but can't put my finger on. Still delicious. The 43% is perfect...but hey first dram of the day. Twas 35°C today. All in all a very likable rum from reunion. Complex enough to outshine most in this category.

This is the first solid element in the range. It's true that I'm not a big fan of old Reunionese, but this is a fine marriage of wood, fruit, menthol and apple, and I really enjoyed this bottle.

Classic but still surprising. Fruit, wood and vanilla. A bit of spice and herbal. Fresh poor was a nice nose but dissapears after a while in the glass. Overall for the low ABV still nice and complex.

17/09/2025: online Savanna Masterclass by Rhumlicious. This was a nice surprise and a great start of the Savanna tasting. I like the flavours and the low ABV makes it very drinkable while still retaining a lot of flavours.
