Once again a top bottling from Spirit of Rum! For me one of the best rums from Panama! Fruity, complex, delicious, extremely well-integrated alcohol, fantastic wood notes, long and smooth finish! Chapeau 🥃

#5415 21.06.2025 Relaxing with a few sample while preparing for a private tasting in the afternoon. Nose Medium intense, wood, light smoke, fruity, dried fruit, light cinnamon, light coconut, light metallic. Palate Oily, medium intense, light spicy, wood, light roasted, faint smoke, dried fruit, light caramel. Finish Long and warm, swod, faint smoke, oily, dried fruit, faint caramel, faint chocolate. Empty glass Canilla, chocolate, light caramel, apricot, light orange. German Rum Fest 2024 sample.

Tagesausflug Düsseldorf September 2025. Shop Spirit Bomb. Der letzte den ich vor Ort verkostet habe. Es war mir eine Ehre Fabi. Schöner Panama, wir haben Vanille, Karamell und vor allem Toffee, aber auch leicht rauchig und würzig.

8,4:On the nose, yellow fruits like peaches, maracuja and mango, coconut, dried apricots, toasted young wood, smoky, with caramel, toffee, spicy with baking spices, allspice, resinous, herbaceous molasses, thick, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, vanilla is out, roasted nuts and leather, burnt sugar, the molasses is slightly flowery, earthy with tobacco, citrus fruits and berries also join. 8,3:On the palate, the attack is slightly sweet and smoky with roasted wood notes like burnt sugar, cream toffee, dark chocolate, leather, buttery, spicy with baking spices, allspice, slightly resinous, fruity with dried apricots and raisins, coconut, orange peel, perhaps mango, as the molasses is a bit minty. 8,1:The finish is medium long, dry, slightly tannic, with roasted wood notes like butterscotch, chocolate, cappuccino, roasted nuts with hazelnut, slightly spicy and smoky, malty, fruity with dried, citrus fruits, some coconut.

Im Geruch noch ein recht klassischer, leichter Panama-Rum mit Noten von gebranntem Zucker, getoastetem Holz, Vanille, und vereinzelten kandierten Früchten wie Papaya und Mango. Sobald er jedoch in den Mund gelangt, erweitert sich aufgrund der gelungenen Fassauswahl das Aromenspektrum um einige würzige, malzige und zum Teil auch fast „schmutzige“, rauchige Komponenten, wodurch der Rum deutlich aufgewertet und vor dem Versinken in der süffigen Beliebigkeit bewahrt wird.

Überraschend fruchtig in der Nase, sehr angenehme Aromatik. Am Gaumen ausgewogen, schöne Melange aus Früchten, Vanille, Holz und dezenten Gewürznoten. Entspannt zu trinken, prima PLV.

Zweites Sample im Zug, irgendwo zwischen Prag und Hamburg, mitten im schönen Elbsandsteingebirge 😌 Nase: Ähnlichkeiten zu Guyana, würzig-röstig, malzig-schokoladig, getrocknete Früchte, nur etwas trockener, mit anfänglicher Schärfe. Getrocknete Aprikose und etwas Papaya dazu gleich Tabak und Leder. Gefällt mir mit mehr Zeit im Glas immer besser. 8,4 Gaumen: auch hier ist eine gewisse Ähnlichkeit zu manchem Diamond auszumachen. Würzig-röstig, kräftig und zunächst auf der trockenen Seite. Wirkt metallisch-salzig mit ordentlich Lakritze und deutlich Umami-Speck. Dazu malzig-schokoladig mit Muskat. Mit der Zeit schmeckt er immer besser, das hatte ich schon deutlich schlechtere im Glas. Guter Panama für einen sehr fairen Preis. 8,4

Schön vielschichtiger Rum. Zuerst riecht man Trockenfrüchte zwischen Vanille, röstigem Fass und warmen Gewürzen, dann Toffee. Am Gaumen überrascht die Milde. Leicht fruchtig mit Kakao und Karamell- Cappuccino im Abgang.

Schöner Panama-Rum aus Berlin! Während viele Panamas für mich wirklich sehr langweilig sind oder nur durch entsprechende Finishes Geschmack bekommen, gefällt mir dieser sehr gut. Schöner spanischer Stil, vergleichsweise komplex und damit irgendwie recht lecker. Gute Fassauswahl!

Dnešní panamský večer zakončuji tímto kouskem a doufám v lepší zážitek než u třech předchůdců. Vůně netradiční kombinace ovoce, bylinek a peated whisky. Sladkost bych tipl přirozenou a je to zase na Panamu zase něco pro me nečekaného. Příjemný pitelný rum, který má svůj výraz.

RumClub Abfüllung aus Panama. Zumindest etwas spannender als viele andere Vertreter des spanischen Stils. Die Abfüllung hat angenehme Fruchtnoten, schöne Holznoten, Vanille und etwas Gewürze. Preis-Leistung ist gut, allerdings stören mich persönlich die rauchige Noten.

Während mich sonst Panama Rum meistens eher langweilt, hat mich dieser sehr positiv überrascht. Der Alkohol ist untypisch gut eingebunden, keine metallische Note, dafür tolle Frucht und Würzaromen, gepaart mit zarten Rauchnoten. Vollmundig, einiges zu entdecken und ein sehr schöner Abgang. Für dieses Alter hatte ich viel weniger erwartet.

Erstaunlich fruchtig aber auch die Erwartungen in Form von Vanille, Karamell und Toffee werden erfüllt. Leichte Gewürznoten im mittellangen Abgang. Bietet mehr als ich erwartet hätte. Er ist etwas alkoholisch/hot aber das ist ja nicht verwunderlich bei dem Alkoholgehalt. Mit etwas Wasser wird’s besser.

Second Panama in my life but I'm impressed. Creamy, buttery, macadamia nut, something is in here that keeps telling me, more, more ! Sugar ? 🤣I hope not but it drinks really easy for the proof. Evolves a lot with times, you don't get bored with this one

Full, strong, sweet, sweet raisins, sweet fruit, caramel. At one point, the stronger alcohol tries to rise to the surface, but it is immediately covered by a bitterly sweet taste. Empty glass - nutty aroma, milk chocolate.
