So the GRF is over and I can get back to the Cadenheads I got from Alex. By the way, thanks again for the split and nice to have finally met you in person. About the rum itself, as always a little more ABV would certainly have done it good, but also really tasty as it is. Again a better one from the Green Label series.

Very little aroma on the nose, the alcohol is very present despite the low ABV. Some tropical fruits, sweetness and light wood. Watery entry on the palate, sweetness, alcohol and fresh and stewed fruits. The finish is short on fruits and wood. A rum with too few aromas and dominated by alcohol. Nothing very interesting here.

Shows a simple, slightly sweet profile with notes of caramel, vanilla, and a bit of wood. Soft on the palate but unbalanced in alcohol, with molasses and light spice, yet lacking real depth. The finish is short and sweet, somewhat alcoholic and one-dimensional. Overall, an unspectacular Demerara that clearly lacks complexity and balance.

Phew, this is for me an example of how rum should no longer be. A one-dimensional rum tasting like neutral alcohol. Apart from a slight sweetness and a little wood, only a light woodiness can be sensed. Really not good.
