It's very lemon-grassy. And the grass is kind of like wormwood. It's a favorite. The finish is short. I like Uitvlugt probably more than Jamaica, so I'm ok, but most people won't like it.
Review by Schnubbi
Slightly grassy, some banana, some black tea. Quite tasty, but doesn't particularly impress me.

Floral and fruity on the nose (stone fruit, passion fruit), plus old barrel. Candied on the palate, cardboard, brine, but also somewhat watery.
Review by FischeJ
Somewhat mixed feelings here due to the key data. Nose ok. Grassy, earthy, woody and a little fruit. Quite thin in the mouth at first and, in my opinion, meaningless. But then the notes from the nose come to the fore. Plus a subtle "perfume note" (floral). Quite a short finish.

Das Port Mourant-Profil ist schon erkennbar, aber leider ist er etwas dünn, aber dafür natürlich sehr geschmeidig. In Abgang leichte torfige Whisky Note.

This Uitvlugt from The Whisky Jury doesn't really inspire me. On the nose, I perceive quite sweet aromas of cherry and similar fruits that remind me more of a Ten Cane. On the palate, the expected aromas, but unfortunately in far too thin a ratio. Alcohol is not noticeable. The finish is relatively short.
Review by Martin Spooner
Relatively strong nose. Relatively leathery spices are at the start here. On the palate I can taste pome fruit ... Apple or pear. Almost Calvados-like notes are also present. Not a beginner's rum. Lingers well in the aftertaste.
Review by Johnny Rumcask
Another rum that leaves me somewhat perplexed. Basically a typical Port Mourant with pencil shavings, some wood and leather and a slight, not unpleasant bitter note. The whole thing is disturbed by a sour note both on the nose and in the mouth. On the one hand, this is an interesting variation, but on the other hand, in my opinion, it is a false note that ruins the PM profile.
Review by crazyforgoodbooze
Well... Reminds me more of gin than rum. It has something of juniper distillate, old, wet shoebox and this strange light acidity and minerality. Quite strange, also seems extremely watered down, I also suspect an ex-Scotch cask here, seems slightly peaty and salty in the finish. Too bad.
Review by Kerry Brockland
I tasted this and felt there was not a to going on. Some herbal notes and not particularly complex considering the distillery. A lot of people are giving scores in the 8s and then say “not particularly impressed”. I got nowhere near that and I think it’s fine - as it says on the tin, it’s “pleasant” but not much else!
