An excellent value for money. This English Harbour reveals a charming profile, with a nice strength at 46%. The Sherry cask finish brings a pronounced vinous character, with roasted and spicy notes, highlighted by a touch of caramel. The finish, pleasant but rather short, leaves a balanced impression.

#6730 Running a few samples whilt watching "Steal" on Amazon Prime. Price to quality is pretty good on this bottle in my mind. A fresh and spice driven profile with fruits, caramel and some musty notes.

I am really glad I had an opportunity to try this rum. Aroma was little bit alcoholic (let it rest), than I noticed sweet note of vanilla, spice, wood and lot of fruit. I noticed a hint of coffe, nuts and that sherry/wine scent (very gentle). Taste was gentle with flavor of wine/sherry, sweet and wood. I noticed hints of nuts and nougat with lot of that fruity and dry flavor (loved it). Finish is short, fruity, woody and also very dry. Very nice rum, nothing special but for that price I think it is from that “MUST TRY” category.

A great, sherry-forward English Harbour. It's not overly complex, but the sherry notes are absolutely fantastic. On the palate, it starts off bone dry but still has a slight sweetness in the finish. The finish is rather short and fruity. A top-notch pour for a relaxed evening without having to expect something overly complex or cask strength.

a pretty nice English Harbour, quite strong sherry influences that somewhat overshadow the rum. the alcohol strength is okay. suits it. it's a bit one-dimensional but honestly made. it's pretty much based on the standard English Harbour. a bit more alcohol involved and the sherry cask.

In the nose, a musty sherry note. Along with raisin, dried fruits, and vanilla. On the palate, a buttery, full mouthfeel. Sherry, raisin, a bit of oak and nutmeg. The finish is long, with a nice sherry sweetness and some nutmeg.

Read full review ›Considering the low price, this is a very interesting rum for everyday drinking. I dare say it will excite a newcomer and definitely won't offend an experienced rum drinker. If you like rums aged in Sherry casks, which is really pronounced here, this is a great choice for you at a super price.
