Tasted at the Brussels Rhum Festival. A fine product - admittedly too expensive - well-fruited, with a little cane, wood, but above all peach, apricot, orange... the influence of cognac fut is very present (and still pleases me). Decanter as classy as ever. At 100€, anyone would take a case for the winter :)

Another bottling from the A1710 distillery that made it to my desk, and which makes me reminisce about a visit to the distillery in 2024. The nose is very pleasant, spicy, I can also smell cinnamon and then some of that agricole rhum finish. On the palate, I get wood and nuttiness in addition to the spice and a peppery quality towards the end... I would say a higher alcohol percentage than the almost 50%. It probably won't appeal much to molasses fans, but it will definitely win over rhum lovers. I am satisfied.
