Green sour apple on the nose, with caramel, a little tobacco and smoke — then a body that most tasters call thin and a bit watery. Woody and lightly spiced, with a finish several people wish ran longer. A Panama column-still 15-year that reads soft and easygoing rather than deep; a few find it too flat, others enjoy it neat with air in the glass.

Retasting this one today and it lost some points.,but that's what happens when it's a while back you tried it the first time 😊 Though sugar was added to this one it's a wonderful rum because they did not add a lot of sugar so the balance is perfect. Oak and spices are there from nose to finish and a bit of fruit as well. Price to quality is very good.

So it didn't really blow me away. In my opinion, it's not even good enough for an easy sipper. But you can use it as a blender. I've now tried it again. It's okay for the price. But overall I find it too boring and very short in the finish.

The representative emphasizes that Malecon completely avoids adding sugar and the rum is guaranteed to be aged 15 years. The rum is distilled in Panama according to Cuban tradition, which practically results in a mix of the two countries.

Short and painless, the rum disappointed me all around. Somehow it lacks everything. Nothing comes through in taste, same goes for the smell. The finish is short and anything but lasting. The price-performance ratio is totally off. The rum will end up with us as a base for mixed drinks.

Angenehmer Rum. In der Nase Vanille, etwas Karamell und rote Früchte. Vollmundif und samtig-weich. Im Geschmack kommen zu den genannten Aromen Holz- bzw. Fass- Noten hinzu. Abgang eher lang, wenn auch nicht sehr intensiv.

Quite sweet and woody flavour, on the nose a lot of caramel and some smoke; actually not bad at all but a bit thin. The finish is woody and tasty but could be longer, all in all a good value rum but there are alternatives that I prefer.

Great nose of green sour apples, plus some tobacco, chocolate and caramel. On the palate, however, clearly more tobacco and slightly smoky, almost peaty as expected, which I don't like so much. Also somewhat unbalanced sharpness and thin, watered-down feel.
