Dégustation du Rhum J.M millésime 2014, brut de fût Ce rhum a vieilli moins de 10 ans (9 mois et 7 mois) en climat tropical pour un embouteillage brut de fût à 44,2°. Nez : plutôt intense, c'est la compote de fruits exotiques qui frappe les narines dans un premier temps. Ce fruité se poursuit sur du jus de pruneaux gourmand, qui enchaîne sur du pain grillé au grille-pain. Ce apporte une grand gourmandise qui se prolonge sur des notes de vanille fraîchement fendue. On sent aussi le piquant du gingembre, avec un peu de miel qui adoucit le tout. La bouche est incroyablement douce, avec un alcool parfaitement intégré. L'attaque se fait sur l'amertume d'une marmelade d'orange. Cela pourrait déranger. La vanille et un boisé délicat viennent adoucir cette première impression sur le plateau. En fin de bouche, du pain brioché toasté nappe le palais d'une grande gourmandise. La finale est très longue, avec cette vanille encore très enveloppante et ces notes toastées qui perdurent. Les fruits exotiques reviennent faire un petit coucou. Je ne peux pas m'empêcher de faire un rapprochement entre ce rhum et le Terroir Volcanique de la même distillerie. Ils comportent des grandes similitudes aromatiques, mais au format XXL pour ce millésime 2014. Si le terroir volcanique s'estompe assez rapidement, ce 2014 est plus concentré. C'est juste dommage qu'il ait cette amertume un peu trop prononcée.

Dégusté au salon Rhum Fest Paris, notes partielles. Ça sent un peu le savon ou le lait d’avoine, c’est bizarre , pas très fan ou le beurre de karité/cacao.. Bien meilleur en bouche, par contre. Un bon vieux agricole, sans être trop vieux.

Dégustation au Rhum Fest Paris 2025. 👃 Joli agricole, belle canne confite, mielleuse et douce, fruits d'arbre à prunes avec le champ avant la moisson à côté. Boisé aux épices douces, vanille légère, un peu de vernis. 😋 Douceur boisée et mielleuse. Combinaison pâtissière de fruits secs, tarte aux fruits et de canne à sucre caramélisée accompagnée d'épices de cuisine pour gâteau. Amertume légère d'un boisé humide. ⛳ De longueur moyenne, le fût un peu plus présent, bien vanillé et épicé. Note douce de fruits secs plus que tropicaux.
