What a delight. Perfectly balanced alcohol, vanilla, leather, a hint of citrus, lots of caramel, it's just an almost perfect beverage. I loved it. Great length. My only regret is that I only had 3cl, as a bottle would have made me very happy.

8,4:On the nose, the first impression we get is quite rigid with roasted wood notes like burnt sugar, coffee, caramel, nuts and some orange peel, varnish. On aeration, dried fruits with apricots arise, some spice with vanilla, an orange, some vegetal notes and a chocolate. 8,7:On the palate, the attack is pleasant with dried fruits like apricots, raisins and roasted, spicy wood notes like burnt sugar, caramel, marzipan, leather, as the molasses is earthy and dark with black tea. Some resting helps notes like nuts, chocolate, as the rum becomes creamy, to arise. There are dried figs, prunes, red fruits and citrus from fruits, some menthol, the wood becomes resinous a bit. 8,6:The finish is long,as the wood is dry, spicy and roasted, in the end perhaps charred with nuts, chocolate, coffee. The fruits are dried and citrusy, as the molasses is a bit vegetal.. Edit:16.2.25 0,1 up, oxidation helps to more velvety feeling...

This is a different coffee than the RdL 50 I had a while ago. The colour is almost like fernet and the aroma is nice and distinctive. Full of caramel, dried fruit and a bit of coffee, chocolate and nuts. The taste is downright date-y with caramel and roasted notes, coffee, chocolate on the finish. Very good.

Very good Diamond, has everything you can expect from such a beer. I find it very accessible and delicious, almost too drinkable. Distilia has once again done everything right with this bottling and the price is also reasonable. But it's still not enough for the top group.

#5008 30.12.2024 Relaxing after getting the roast prepared for tomorrow. Nose Balanced, wood, light roasted, light citrus, light orange, faint marzipan, spice. Palate Oily, wood, light roasted, faint marzipan, faint chocolate, anise, dried fruit, light plum, faint salt, light berries. Finish Long, wood, light roasted, light olive, light citrus, light chocolate, faint salt. The empty glass has nice caramel, berries and a light grass.

The color is strong and the aroma is beautiful and unmistakable. Full of caramel, dried fruit and a little coffee, chocolate and nuts. The taste is almost date-like with caramel and roasted notes, coffee and chocolate in the finish. Not bad, but the alcohol could be better integrated.

Very good Diamond, with not exuberant molasses. Nice fruity sweetness. Fun to drink!

Decent 2003 Diamond from the bottler Distilia. Pleasant fruity sweetness, burnt sugar, some wood, chocolate and coffee. Alcohol is well integrated. It's easy to drink, even if it won't be remembered for long.

A very nice drink, not a bomb, but a good choice for an evening sip. I will definitely get this rum. It falls into my favorite portfolio and my flavor specifications. I recommend it to everyone

Very accessible Diamond on the nose and palate. Rather bright profile with wood, dried fruit, burnt sugar, orange peel and coffee. Meets my taste, but is not outstanding. However, I like to drink the second half of the sample ...

Not an aromatic spectacle in the sense of exceptional complexity, but if you can warm to the melting of the rich vanilla-caramel-chocolate profile from ex-bourbon oak barrels, this is a very appealing release. This elegant sweetness is garnished with dried fruit and dark spices, but everything is beautifully balanced and convinces with a very harmonious overall picture. It lacks the depth for a top rating, but as a sipper at an exquisite level, the release is a perfect choice - not least thanks to the price.

Tasting Distilia Artist (Yu Chuan).
