The smell reminds me a lot of strawberry candies with slight wood notes. There's no alcohol or medicinal smell. The taste is similar. Very sweet with slight wood and fruit notes. It's very untypical for Cuban rum in taste. It has no alcoholic sharpness but also nothing special in taste.
