Sip this one neat — at 60.6% the alcohol sits surprisingly well, and most tasters reach for a glass rather than ice. Expect textbook Foursquare: coconut, vanilla, caramel, roasted nuts and a little chocolate, drying out into peppery oak on the finish. Several call it "round and well made" but note it doesn't stray far from what Foursquare always does.

Very nice typical Foursquare scent, but soft, mature, no alcohol, as sometimes happens. For how boring FS can already be for me, a great start. First taste sounds downright peppery. The next one is bearable, but the peppery sharpness is quite distracting. The body, for me, is unsuccessful. The finish is quite good.

8,5:On the nose, the first impression we get is typical Bajan with roasted wood notes like nuts, caramel, spices with cinnamon, vanilla, tropical fruits like coconut and bourbon ageing dried fruits like apricots, raisins.There is some glue, a molasses is vegetal. On aeration, the rum becomes peppery, smoky, the sugar burnt, as we notice some tobacco, orange peel. 8,7:On the palate, the is similar as on the nose, with typical Bajan markers.The rum is pleasantly syrupy, it quickly becomes dry, there is a delicious pastry.With resting, the molasses turns out more vegetal, earthy, musty and some tobacco. Some cardamom could be found later on.Well everything turns out round and balanced. 8,5:The finish is long, dry, tannic, spicy and roasted, as the fruits are still typical from bourbon ageing... Edit:16.5.25, an upgrade 0.1 notch, a bit smoother due to some oxidation

A fairly unadulterated, honest Foursquare. I like the nose best, but it is also convincing on the palate. I find these slightly roasted nut flavors a solid addition to the well-known Foursquare markers. Great bottling

Another Foursquare, as expected and as usual at a very good level. Not a huge runaway to the top, but still a good selection, absolutely ok in terms of price, considering what is usually called for the ECS. Thanks to Alex_Kunath for the mega-split 🤝

Great Foursquare that has everything it needs ... and it tastes good. More vanilla, oak, caramel, coconut and spices with nuts on the nose. On the palate there is also a lot of chocolate and dried fruit. Alcohol integration also fits.

Wow, a wonderful Foursquare, I really like it. The alcohol is perfectly integrated, otherwise a harmonious interplay of coconut, vanilla, caramel, burnt sugar and also some pastry.

Tasting Distilia Artist (Yu Chuan). A very pastry-like nose with alcohol, marzipan, and lots of sweetness, vanilla, and young wood. The palate entry is quite powerful but with sweetness (pastries) and well-integrated alcohol. The finish is medium-length, focused on sweetness with coconut, pastries, and vanilla. A nice representative of Foursquare.

Typical Foursquare without big edges and corners... Alcohol not perfectly integrated, initially very biting and sharp in the glass. Coconut, vanilla, some chocolate and dark burnt sugar. Slightly bitter in the finish. Quite nice but you don't need a bottle.

A very rounded drop. Foursquare through and through. The nose initially offers coconut, dried fruits, caramel, wood, vanilla and nuts. Then come spices, oak, cinnamon, roasted notes and bourbon. On the palate it is quite strong. The 60% are well integrated and bring a warm spice. Coconut, chocolate, roasted nuts, vanilla and burnt sugar are expanded by spicy oak, pastries and dried fruits. Here the fruitiness from the nose plays a rather minor role. The medium to long finish continues the aromas from nose and palate and also offers cinnamon and raisins. Coconut, oak and cocoa are present and again provide a pleasant spice. I'm not a big Foursquare drinker, but this is harmonious and well made. Thanks to @Julian_P for the good sample 😀

A robust, spicy Barbados rum with pleasant sweetness and well-integrated oak. Notes of baked banana, vanilla, and roasted nuts appear harmoniously alongside a hint of dried herbs. Despite its intensity, it remains elegant and accessible, with a dry, slightly spicy finish. Good balance and beautiful depth.

#6473 12.03.2026 Relaxing with a few samples after a pretty relaxing day at work. Listening to some nice music by Mnexsis and Clarees. This is a pretty good release that has nice balance. The nose is fresh and fruity with wood and spices. The palate is warm and light spicy with wood, fruits and light caramel. The finish is long and light spicy with nice wood notes and some dried fruit.

A very well-rounded and well-made 2006 Foursquare without any rough edges. Warm and slightly spicy cinnamon, coffee and milk chocolate, green pepper, roasted coconut chips and a subtle fruit acidity reminiscent of dried apricots, as well as pleasant light tannins on the finish. To be honest, though, it's not really a highlight...

This isn't a bad rum. On the other hand, I'm not a big Foursquare fan, and for me, this is once again Foursquare boredom. Coconut, caramel, chocolate, vanilla. But the alcohol is well integrated.

A Foursquare nose like this is something really cool, round and delicious. It shows beautiful little oily droplets in the glass. The palate is characterized by woody, roasted aromas. Very dry, peppery mouthfeel, which continues on the finish. Great nose, on the palate it is too dry and too roasty for me.

It's rather good, a little peppery entry on the palate, quite indulgent overall. Not much difference from what Foursquare usually does, which I find a bit regrettable. This distillery doesn't take many risks to make somewhat different juices.

A small, somewhat peppery prelude, quite tasty overall. Not a big difference to what Foursquare normally does, mostly caramel, vanilla, coconut and a little chocolate. Thats It. Finish a little alcoholic, but tasty.

Typical Foursquare notes on the nose that are consistently pleasing. Also clearly Foursquare on the palate but wonderfully strong and intense. In my opinion, the alcohol is very well integrated. For me, a very good Foursquare with a beautiful bottle design.

I start the artistic series with a rum from Barbados, because it's not my favorite destination, yet I have to say this is a rum that is exactly as it should be. Vanilla, spice, caramel. I'd say it's a very good Foursquare.
