Most helpful mixed review
Rom festival 2/11-2024 MacY. Interesting mineral, vegetal, spicy notes, however a bit light, watered down a bit too much. For me it's a lower score than the LA Mauny 1995. Complexity 1 of 5. Score 7,5. Definitely too expensive at auctions 75-125 £.

Un jus original et particulièrement difficile a décrire tant il est différent des agricoles de cette trempe. Au nez, ce millésime est bien équilibré entre bois, fruits jaunes/pomme et épices avec des notes classiques de caramel. Mais dès qu'on le porte à la bouche, il devient vif, saisissant. C'est un rhum sec, on y retrouve le goût du chêne issu de son long vieillissement, et quelque chose que je n'arrive pas à décrire et qui me déplaît très légèrement. Le caramel est toujours présent, mais dénué de sucre. La finale est de durée moyenne, j'y retrouve du poivre et toujours cette saveur que je n'arrive pas à décrire. C'est un rhum assez complexe que je ne boirais pas comme "petit plaisir de fin de repas" mais plutôt pour exercer mon palais.
