Not for cola or casual pours — this is a slow, neat sipper for people who love old Guyanese wood. A 32-year Enmore that leans herbal and woody: pencil shavings, licorice, roasted nuts, leather, dried prunes and a thread of caramel. Several tasters loved the balance; a couple found it a touch watery and even bitter. The 50.9% is so well tucked in it "drinks almost too soft."

8,8:On the nose, the opening impression is with roasted wood notes like biscuits, nuts, leather, caramel and chocolate, spicy with vanilla, slightly herbaceous, metallic, less fruity with banana. On aeration, dried and citrus fruits arise, freshness with flowery touch, some pencil shavings and much later, tannins. 8,7:On the palate, the attack is mostly woody and herbaceous, as the wood is roasted with caramel, pastry, nuts and leather, spicy and fruity with dried fruits like prunes, raisins, citrus and cherry. After resting the rum, the molasses brings licorice, bitter, but fresh notes with flowery tones, perhaps again pencil shavings. 9:The finish is extremely round and tasty, dry and tannic, syrupy, marmelade like with dried fruits like prunes, apricots, raisins, overripe tropical fruits and citrus, pairing roasted wood notes, slightly smoky and spicy, like nuts, leather, caramel, confectionery and in the end, marzipan.Herbaceous tones and tea keep the finish fresh. In direct comparison, I didn't like it as much as the Origin R. Enmore. This bottling has significantly more herbs, especially oregano on the nose. In contrast to the Origin R., it also seems relatively fresh. On the palate there are also lots of herbal notes, licorice and not quite as roasty and bitter. All in all, I quite like it.

Super 90s Enmore; only a little watery in the mouth, which nevertheless has no effect on the taste, but makes the rum more drinkable like water. On the nose, the typical caramel, spice and dried fruit aromas. The palate also reveals prunes and spices, especially cinnamon. The finish is pleasantly spicy and sweet. Alcohol could be a little stronger.

#6748 05.05.2026 Speed hiking done and wife picked up from work. Time for some samples and some Trance Tracks on Spotify. A very nice Enmore with a pricetag to go with it because of the age. A nice floral rum with fruits, medicinal, coffee, chocolate and light licorice in the pencil shavings.

First impression very restrained in the nose ...alcohol not noticeable. I have slightly floral notes, peach, aniseed, menthol, vanilla and somehow fresh wood in the nose. On the palate, the mildness of the rum is immediately noticeable without being too weak or diluted. I taste vanilla, yellow fruit, some caramel and again this slightly fresh wood. Deliciously honest and not intrusive.

A really nice and soft 1990 Enmore. The nose is very delicate with vanilla, caramel, cookie dough, leather, dried fruits and barrel notes. The palate is sweet and mild. Spices, toffee, wood, leather and dried fruit keep the balance. Prune and nutty tones are added. The superbly integrated 50.9% makes it almost too smooth to drink. The finish is just as complex as the palate and nose. A lovely spiciness, burnt sugar, leather and barrel notes linger. I then encounter aromas of tea (perhaps black tea) and a slight hint of coffee. Very tame on the one hand, yet complex, delicate and accessible on the other. Very tasty. Thanks to @Skyfly for the sample 🙂

Actually a great rum, but not quite to my taste. Something is missing here. It's somehow rather sweet in the direction of caramel and chocolate, but also somehow very bitter in taste.

Nice 90s Enmore: On the nose caramel, spices and dried fruits, on the palate dried plum and cinnamon. Pleasant to drink (low ABV), with a spicy-sweet finish – harmonious and round. I liked it a lot.

This is a style I don't normally prefer, but it's so well executed here that I think it's superb. The nose is discreet but full-bodied if you take the trouble. The palate is more expressive, with a sweet, even floral start, but Enmore's unique finish: wood, coffee, black tea, nuts, all oven-roasted. And it lasts... Almost reminds me of whisky peat. Great balance, great experience.

In terms of quality, this is a good rum. The alcohol is well integrated and the aromas are also well accentuated. But it's not to my taste. Very herbal, licorice root, woody, pencil note, somewhat bitter

Must be an MEV. Reminds me a lot of the RA and ORS 1990, which were still relatively untamed back then. This one is more subtle with a lot of wood, little fruit, subtle spices, tea and some marzipan. More on the astringent side. Overall beautifully complex and balanced. Great bottling!

#1821 14-08-2026 - Rate 8.6 One of many new Distilla bottles I have tasted recently. All of high quality and with flavor and taste that I have liked. Had a good deal on this old Enmore. All is really nice but l miss some oily and thicker rum being 32 years. Still really good. Have set my eye on the blue 32 year Distilla next
