The port finish is clearly present, but well and pleasantly integrated. Alcohol very well integrated.

A rum from the Swiss bottler Origin R. A very fruity nose with red fruits, pineapple, papaya, also a pastry side with marzipan and a slight tar note. The palate is fresh, straightforward and without any off-flavors. The fruits are there but less present than on the nose. A buttery, lactic side spoils the pleasure a bit. The finish is moderately long, you can quite clearly feel the Port. The wood is very well integrated. In the end, what is the point of this kind of “flavoring”? To hide flaws? Yet, one must admit, it is rather successful here.

Nose of red fruits, marzipan, on the palate the wood is tannic, rather aggressive, finally holds a lot of alcohol and wood and fades away as quickly as it came, by far not the best success of Origine R...
