Rubber, smoke and burnt-tire notes on the nose, then vanilla sugar and chocolate on a thin, sometimes hot palate. A few tasters call it a decent, not-too-demanding first taste of the Fiji profile; plenty of others find it too sweet and artificial, almost liqueur-like. One reviewer summed it up: it "just doesn't quite work." Better mixed than sipped for most.

It’s a blend of pot and column still rum, which I can’t recommend. The nose is floral and woody with scents of grass and young wood. At the palate it’s fruity, floral and woody with flavors of coconut, grass, rubber and bourbon. The finish is medium long.

At first impression I found it really bad, after it breathed a bit it got better. Very artificial and young wood on the nose. On the palate it is very strong with a hint of vanilla and chocolate. Alcohol is not well integrated.

I like to use this rum in a pineapple mixer. 5 cl of rum 5-10 cl of fresh pineapple juice A very refreshing drink. If you want it a bit more fresh, try to add a squeeze of lime.

The Fiji profile is especially typical and present on the nose. On the palate, it is complemented by vanilla sugar, which is somewhat unusual for Fiji. I find it appealing as an entry-level Fiji because the basic complexity of the South Pacific releases is present, but it doesn't overwhelm completely. A very solid entry rum.

Interesting. Nose brings some glue which after a few minutes in the glass is quite pleasant. Unfortunately very thin on the palate. But a nice smokiness in the finish.

It’s aroma was somewhat industrial. Maybe with a little molasses. The aroma continues to the flavor, but with less molasses. My wife says it had a paper flavor. More of a burn than I would have thought at 40% ABV. I enjoyed it better mixed.
