Overall a really nice Navy sipper. You can clearly find the components from Jamaica, Guyana and Barbados. Personally I think it is a bit too sweet and some additional bitterness from Guyana (root juice?) would be great. But then again it was an exklusive for the KaDeWe. So I am pretty sure their targeted audience will love it.

Probably has nothing at all to do with the old Navi Blend, which was highly praised. This one is actually a waste of time. Many thanks to FischeJ for letting us try it. As KaDeWe, they probably only chose it to rip off tourists and poured the discarded barrels together at the RumClub. Big profit margin in sight.

The KaDeWe Navy blend reminds me strongly of the Next Generation Navy blend (Ed. 37), which was more focused on the fruity notes from Jamaica and Barbados. It's the same here. Differences in the slightly higher ABV of the KaDeWe blend I would probably only recognize in a direct comparison. I remain of the opinion that other navy blends such as the Pusser's Dockyard Reserve with the pronounced Maggi spice simply appeal to me more, as they are closer to the original bottlings.

#5555 13.08.2025 Running a few samples while relaxing in my recliner 😊 Nose Light wood, faint smoke, citrus, sweet, light alcoholic, faint plum, spice, light floral. Palate Light, light wood, light roasted, spice, faint plum, light apricot, faint coconut, light sour, light floral. Finish Medium long, light wood, citrus, faint coconut, light floral. Empty glass Light floral, apricot, light coconut, faint herbal.

Relatively fresh and young on the nose, not bad, but not particularly exciting either. A total surprise on the palate, as I can hardly taste anything here. Drinks almost like water. I was expecting much more from this.

The nose is really nice and inviting... apricot jam, light esters, some coconut, light spice notes. Everything you could expect from the countries of this blend. Aromatically it unfortunately doesn't keep the level and seems rather heavily diluted, also somewhat metallic and at the same time sweetly sour. Just doesn't feel round and harmonious. As if not enough time was taken to dilute (why at all?!). Too bad, it can be better!

A blend from four countries. Most likely I would still guess low ester Jamaica (Worthy Park). The fine fruity notes remind me at least of that. But otherwise unfortunately quite thin mouthfeel. Minimal spritzy notes. A few floral notes too. Overall rather disappointing.

Freshly poured, floral notes on the nose. The alcohol is still very present. After some time, the alcohol dissipates and the fruity and floral notes come to the fore. On the tongue again slightly fruity notes. The alcohol could be better integrated. The aftertaste is short and rather inconspicuous. Solid blend, but it doesn't stay in memory for long.

I usually find Navy Blend quite good. Usually. On the nose, typical Navy Blend. Fruity-caramelized, then a bit of spice at the back. It's clear that there's no high-end waiting in the glass here. Unfortunately, the palate then disappoints quite a bit. Metallic-sharp, thin and watery. Not the best Navy Blend for me...

Mmmm... a navy blend that somehow doesn't know what it is. Very drinkable on the nose with a high fruit content, it dies a miserable death on the palate. There's really not much going on here. Too thin, too alcoholic and too little complexity. The question arises as to who this blend is for... I think for beginners who want to try a premium product while vacation shopping. Definitely suitable for this.
