8,2:On the nose, tamed, esters, nail polish, overripe banana and pineapple, some black tea, olive, honey, smoky, roasted wood notes, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, hints of red fruits arise, citrus, molasses brings grass, the wood is spicy, nutty, rubber and chemical hints join. 8,0:On the palate, the attack is medicinal with esters, burnt rubber, dry, oily with roasted wood notes like caramelized sugar, chocolate, smoky, spicy, meaty, fruity with fermented citrus and tropical fruits like banana and pineapple, red fruits and perhaps some berries, candied fruits, vinegar, phenol hints arise, when the rum is well oxidized, molasses is vegetal with briny olive, flowery, mineral. 7,9:The finish is medium long, dry and tannic, fruity with citrus and tropical fruits, candied, roasted wood notes, slightly medicinal, molasses is vegetal, flowery. #6564 28.03.2026 - Part 3 The first online tasting of 2026 of the group we had in Shanghai. Funny that we are now living in different parts of the world again. Singapore, Sweden, UK, Denmark and Thailand 😊 Thank you for the samples Petter. This is also a very nice bottling with a pretty nice price tag to it. The nose is intense with ester, overripe fruits, banana, polish and floral notes. There is a light touch of honey in there as well. The palate is balanced with light roasted wood, floral, light chocolate, diesel, light mineral and faint caramel. The finish is long and floral with mineral, roasted wood, light salt, light chocolate and faint diesel.

Certainly not a bad rum, but for me there’s a consistent alcoholic note. Definitely not noticeable in a mixed drink, but definitely when sipped neat. Alongside that, balanced fruits, florals, wood, and spices, plus a mineral note. On the palate, nicely meaty.
