After giving it a very bad rating on 2 tastings, it took a 3rd one to finally appreciate this ESB, a blend of 3 Neisson heating profiles. The nose improved with fresh cane, a hint of plum brandy and bitter citrus. The palate became less alcoholic with this sun-soaked cane juice, that vanilla pod, and that citrus side still present. The finish became deeper with a slight woodiness and that vanilla. It really needs a long time of aeration to express its full potential.

You can feel the Neisson quality but I expected better for this profile. The nose is light, the palate is more powerful but relatively simple. It's good but not very surprising and relatively classic.

Next, we have a nice Agricole; a bit more power would have been nice, but it's okay as it is. We mainly get cane sugar on the nose and palate. On the palate, I also get a bit of (young) wood.

#4937 Whisky Live in Paris 27.09.2024-30.09.2024. Another great event meeting a lot of RumX new and old friends. This year three weren't as many new releases as in 2023, but I still had a great time. Nose Sweet, sugarcane, round, faint herbal, light floral, fruity, light wood, light citrus, faint vegetal. Palate Balanced, velvety, oily, sweet, fruits, sugarcane, light wood, light citrus, spices, light vegetal, faint leather. Finish Medium long, balanced, velvety, oily, fruits, light citrus, faint caramel, faint herbal, sweet. A very well balanced Agricole that I think most can enjoy.

Profile Balance 2025 – 52.5% (white bottle): a marriage between Profile 107 and Japanese Mizunara oak barrels, a rarity in rum. Verdict: clearly more convincing than the previous version (49%, black bottle).

Nice tasting at the whisky house. I've never been a big fan of Neisson's "Profiles" but I have to admit this one lives up to its name. I find it balanced and therefore more interesting. The nose and palate are in harmony. A good ESB but overall it's a category of rums that doesn't excite me...

A very good agricultural rum giocane, it has a very similar trait to Neisson Godinot but is slightly more docile on the palate, which makes it even more drinkable. Lots of hazelnut on the palate. A very good value for money rum. For me to have in the bottle along with the white Godinot!

03/10/2025: Neisson tasting @ TasTToe. Rather similar to the Profil 62 for me. Sweet, spicy flavor profile but very balanced and round. Alcohol could've been integrated a bit better. Nice design on the bottle though.

Whisky Live Paris 2024 (trade fair evaluation, only overall rating and personal recommendation to buy): Nicely quaffable, young agricole, but it doesn't trigger any storms of enthusiasm. I don't have to have a bottle of it.

Notes from Whisky Live Paris 2024 - to be reviewed and expanded upon. Superb, right up my alley (as you'd expect from Neisson). Fresh cane, big lemon, a little milky/coconut, Fruits, perhaps fresh banana, Mineral notes and a little more spice to spice things up. Ultra-efficient, no headaches.

A very nice Neisson blend, this Profil Équilibre. Fresh cane ideally marries with young wood. Vanilla nose. Citrus. A nice roundness. Ideal strength for me. It's easy without being flat. Nicely indulgent. A superb ESB blend. And among the few reasonably affordable things at Neisson.

J’adore cette version profil Équilibre CAF. le nez est très végétal, canne à sucre, zestes de citrons, caramel. En bouche, c’est gourmand, sucré, le caramel domine,. J’apprécie l’équilibre, c’est facile à boire. Manque peut-être un peut de puissance à mon goût mais l’ensemble est vraiment bon. Une belle et bonne bouteille.

Description: Nez: vraiment boisé et floral Bouche: équilibré, boisé, chocolat,noix, épicé (étonnant pour un neissok d'avoir un goût chocolat,c'est la première fois pour moi) Finale: épicé, chocolat , légèrement boisé. De longueur moyen (légèrement déçu , j'espère un long. Conclusion : c'est bon ,c'est bon et c'est bon. Un bon 8!
