#5823 03.10.2025 Relaxing with a few samples after shopping in Flensburg while watchins Star Trek Discovery. Nose Fresh, light wood, light sugarcane, light floral, banana, light mint, light citrus, berries, herbs. Palate Oily, wood, fresh, light floral, faint sour, apple, herbs, spice, orange, light olive, light polish. Finish Medium long, oily, wood, light roasted, light polish, berries. Empty glass Vanilla, orange, light chocolate, light nutts.

🔙 Back to Rhum Tour 2025 – Third stop: David's booth 🐊 Sauvage ReimonenQ – 60.4% An amber agricole rum, cask strength, selected by David’s Rum Selection, from the ReimonenQ distillery (Guadeloupe). Aged in bourbon barrels then in new American oak barrels, it reveals a strong but controlled aromatic profile. Personally, I find it much more to my taste than the Sauvage from Bielle, precisely because it is... less wild! As they say: never two without three... 😉

A mainly spicy nose that expresses itself better after a little aeration. Quite an expressive attack on the palate, with spices and cloves, followed by woody and sweet notes. Quite long finish for its age, on the woody/sweet duo.
