Habe mich mit diesem vorher nicht wirklich auseinander gesetzt bzw informiert. Jetzt im Nachhinein hab ich gehört, dass dieser ein Whiskyfinish haben soll (?). Wenn ja ist davon zum Glück nichts zu schmecken. Grundsolide Abfüllung die mir geschmeckt hat, ich aber keine Flasche davon brauche.

#4882 Whisky Live in Paris 27.09.2024-30.09.2024. Another great event meeting a lot of RumX new and old friends. This year three weren't as many new releases as in 2023, but I still had a great time. Nose Fresh, fruity, faint wood, faint tannins, light varnish, light earthy, light floral, light sugarcane, cinnamon. Palate Balanced, fresh, light wood, spice, cinnamon, light floral, light herbal, medium spicy, faint ginger, sugarcane, oily, fruits. Finish Medium long, medium spicy, oily, fresh, faint floral, faint varnish, faint tannins, light wood, fruits. Pretty well balanced release and I look forward to seeing the price in the shops. It is usually sold out pretty fast, so if you need one catch it from the start.

ich mag die clairin runs sehr gerne! auch ungelagert hervorragend gibts hier viel zu entdecken. mal schauen wie sich die reihe mit den schönen schwarz/weiß labels schlägt und meinen vorstellungen gerecht wird. 2017: Fünf Jahre hätte ich dieser Abfüllung nicht gegeben. Der Alkohol könnte besser eingebunden sein, wenig fasseinfluss, welcher mir hier eher negativ ins gewicht fällt. Generell sehr pflanzlich mit Oliven und Kräutern. Sonst gewohnt (hell)fruchtig. 76 Pkt. 2018: dieser ist schon "schwerer", dunkelfruchtiger und würziger. deutlicher fasseinfluss. am gaumen warm, fruchtig und vollmündig. Alkohol hier auch nicht optimal eingebunden. 80 Pkt. 2019: Scheint die beiden ersten perfekt zu vereinen! gefällt mir sehr gut. Ein vollmundiger Fruchtkorb mit Gewürzen, dazu adstringent. Der macht sehr viel Spaß! 86 Pkt.

Ich mag diese Reihe von gereiften Vieux Sajous wirklich sehr! Das Caroni-Finish war nett, der 2018er schon besser aber diesen 2019er mit dem tropischen Whisky Finish finde ich mit am besten. Ich war sehr skeptisch, hab bisher keine guten Erfahrungen gemacht was Single Malt Reifung anbelangt. Aber in diesem Fall merkt man es kaum. Im Gegenteil, ein sehr erdiger, mineralischer Rum der seine Herkunft mit Cristalline Rohrzucker nicht verleugnen kann! Die Nase ist angenehm fruchtig, leichte Holznoten und eine leicht herbe Note. Auf der Zunge leichte Anleihen von herbstlichen Früchten, Honig und jede Menge grasige, erdige Einflüsse mit langem Abgang. Insgesamt sehr ausgewogen und einfach authentisch.

Und noch einen tollen Haitianer, sogar gelagert, hatte ich noch nicht oft. Die typischen pflanzlichen Noten sind trotzdem vorhanden. Außerdem natürlich auch sehr frisch, floral und erdig, Kräuter sind auch erkennbar.

Nase erinnert stark an junge Jamaikarums. Viel vergorene Früchte, Ester, aber auch diese verrückten Assoziationen zu Milch/Butter. Dadurch dass auch einige Holzeinflüsse wahrnehmbar sind, liegt eine solide Komplexität vor. Im Gegensatz dazu im Mund eher auf der trockenen, würzigen und schweren Seite, wobei im Abgang wieder eine Süße dazu kommt, die angenehm abrundet.

Alle Jahre wieder gibt’s den neuen 5jährigen Sajous. Diese sind idR immer top.- so wie auch dieser hier. An der Nase frisch, floral und wie gewohnt fruchtig. Am Gaumen süßlich, frisch und sogar ein wenig ölig. Fast schon zugefällig, im Gegensatz zum Caroni cask, Alkohol perfekt eingebunden. Tolles Teil.

A lovely release, again. This time have been used Hampden casks and the influence is really noticeable, there is a funky soul that adds well to the usual aged sajous notes. Beside the funk and vegetal notes, there is a butter-y and pastry side.. Really nice

Second time I try a rum from Haiti. Nose is fresh, fruity, spicy and slightly woody. It gives tones of milk, cacao and light honey. Palate starts hot and spicy, but alcohol is well integrated. Many nose flavours still there, with an addition of bitterness and a light vanilla touch. Finish is long, with a smoky tone that wasn't there previously, which is also there in the empty glass along with some green olive. This is a very good rum.

Der Geruch frisch und fruchtig mit Ananas, etwas Zuckerrohr und einer buttrigen Note, zwischendrin sogar ein Hauch Lack. Im Geschmack Kräuter, Holz und Honig, leicht ölig und insgesamt ausgewogen. Der Abgang bringt Tannine, etwas Bitterkeit und eine astringente Kante. Kein lauter Sajous, eher ein runderer Vertreter mit trotzdem genug Charakter, um im Glas spannend zu bleiben

Schöne zukrige Maße mit einer schönen Frische. Am haen für mich kräuteig und durchaus komplex Schmecktir sehr gut. Mittlerer Abgang meiner Meinung nach. Muss ich auch noch mal im Mixer probieren. Schöner Urlaubsdrink für mich.
