"The 73% are very well integrated" is the line that keeps coming up — one taster would have guessed 60% blind. This 15-year Isautier pours oily and warm, with dark and red fruit, dry wood and that grassy agricole edge running underneath. Several members loved the nose and palate but found the finish trailed off. Not the most complex bottle, but an easy, characterful sipper.

A pretty intense one, this Isautier. On the nose, it’s dry and dirty, but you can also detect chocolate. On the palate, it warms you up right away. You can pick up some coffee and wood here. The alcohol is well integrated.

#1750 20-03-2026 - Rate 6.7 Our club bought a agricole set from Kevin. To challenge our selves. We usually don’t drink much agricole. Have some few favorits (Savanna, Bellevue and most Haiti) We are not fans of this one. Sorry for the low rating, but we really don’t like it. Nice to be challenged and to try something different. This one was the best of the tasting, but as the rating shows I’m still not up there with the once who loves agricole

Antoinette: holzig mit vanille, etwas bitter, süß im abgang. nicht sonderlich komplex. Ein holziger easy sipper. Der Abgang ist mittellang und das Beste an dem Rum. Apollonie: Weicher, auch süß, mit einem pflanzlich und mit einem Kräutereinschlag. Insgesamt komplexer, lecker. Elise: Dieser hat die bislang intensivste Nase, welche sich am Gaumen fortsetzt. Hier kommen deutlich die dunklen und roten Früchte mehr zum Vorschein, als bei den vorher probierten. Auch lecker. Aventurier: das ist ja mal gar nichts. erinnert eher an einen jungen foursquare. schlecht eingebundener Alkohol. aventurier bdf: fast 80 % abv. klingt vielversprechend, zeigt sich hier aber vergleichsweise zahm und langweilig. Der Alkohol ist gut eingebunden, ein Aromenspektakel bleibt aber leider aus. Hätte hier mehr erwartet. Audacieux bdf: Schon besser, die 73 % abv sind sehr gut integriert, am Gaumen ölig, warm, holzig mit dunklen Früchten. Der Abgang enttäuscht im Vergleich zum Erlebnis an der Nase und am Gaumen. Trotzdem sehr guter Rum! Das Tasting war eine Ernüchterung, vllt. habe ich aber auch einfach viel zu hohe Erwartungen, wenn ich Isautier sehe. Meine Favoriten bleiben mot großem Abstand die Abfüllungen von Velier und Swell.

#5822 03.10.2025 Relaxing with a few samples after shopping in Flensburg while watchins Star Trek Discovery. Nose Fresh, round, light wood, fruits, berries, light plum, light citrus, floral. Palate Oily, fresh, woody, round, spice, cherry, light tobacco, dried fruits, light caramel, light floral. Finish Medium to long, fresh, oily, light wood, fruits, light prunes, light floral. Empty glass Prunes, light caramel, light strawberries, faint mint.

Tasting 04.07.2026 RX 21856 Isautier. Gift from Mr. Kevin Sørensen Nose: Lovely cask, agricole with age, overripe black berries. Palate: Tart citrus fruit and prune, overripe blueberry. Brown sugar in a positive way. Delicious agricole, freshness and depth at the same time. Glass: Light cask and rich prune. Surprisingly fresh agricole. Tasting "In the cave"

Agricole meeting and tasting with Kevin in Blåvand, Denmark The Isautier hits the nose quite brutally with its 73%, promising a lot of fun on the tongue. Dry, dirty but also with vegetal influences. On the palate, fruity components and again agricole notes with harsh woody aromas come through.

A bouquet of aromas. Green apple, brown sugar, barrel, flowers, grass, tropical fruit, honey. The taste is fantastic. Classic agricole, sugarcane, floral, hay/grass, barrel, green fruits. The alcohol is incredibly well integrated. If I didn't know it was at a full 73%, I would guess somewhere around 60%. The finish is medium long. Again barrel, grass, sugar, green fruit and a small but positive bitterness that makes me perceive it a bit on the dry side.
