This was my favourite Savanna and rum of the tasting. Nice complexity and lovely balance between the fruit, caramel and spices and you could also get some molasses. I really liked the light smoky feel and wood in this release. Chocolate comes at the end of the palate. Yummy 😊

Too close to a whisky, too particular, not rum enough...

Strawberry and berry notes dominate the nose, accompanied by vanilla and caramel. There is also a fine herbal note with a slight woodiness. On the palate, overripe fruit, some rock candy and a hint of cocoa. Overall aromatic and interesting, but sometimes a bit unbalanced and edgy, so it doesn’t reach the elegance of other HERR bottlings.

High Ester rum from Savanna with a sweet twist. Without the brute force of pure Grand Arôme or HERR, although the notes are of course still recognizable. Intense, demanding, multi-layered - an excellent rum from Reunion.

Rums from the Savanna distillery are among my favorites. I recommend everyone try especially the ester-heavy pieces like Grand Arome or HERR. You haven't felt so much fruit in just a few drops of liquid for a long time.

The best of the whole series. Wonderful aroma and taste of overripe mango in caramel, esters, vanilla. This is, for example, a great Savannah!

Color: Orange-brown Odor: Super delicious aromatic ester flavors fill the room. Smells sweet and fruity of fudge, sandalwood and candied fruit. Taste: Initially sweet in the mouth with fudge, but quickly becomes sharp and strong due to its alcohol strength. Extremely strong and spicy when swallowed. Sweet with caramel in the background. Then there are lots of fruity aromas. Finish: Medium length. Fruity and spicy with chocolate and toffee. Also woody. Sweet aftertaste with a pleasant burn. Conclusion: Super tasty. The fruitiness decreases significantly after a longer period of standing.

Absolute Savanna top class. Fruity, esters, spicy, dense aromas. Also reminds a bit of ice candies. Compared to Herrline #1 and Blanc Paris at a similar high level. For me on par with Herrline but behind Blanc Paris.
