The Wild Parrot Enmore Botanica Series 1991
Leather, roasted malt, dark chocolate and stewed plum with that dry licorice-and-tar edge old Enmore is known for. This 33-year coffey-still Guyana sips dark, bitter and a touch sweeter than its siblings, with wood and alcohol nicely knit at 49.8%. Several tasters call it easy-drinking for a KFM; a few find the palate a little thin and one catches soap and lavender.
- Great wood integration
- Roasted, leather, plum
- Easy for KFM

How does The Wild Parrot Enmore Botanica Series 1991 taste?
Aggregated from 28 community reviews.
Dark, roasted, leather-heavy old-Enmore sipper Most find this a calm, well-aged Enmore — dark, roasted, leather and raisin, with the wood beautifully integrated. The recurring catch: a body some call thin, and a high asking price.

#4872 Whisky Live in Paris 27.09.2024-30.09.2024. Another great event meeting a lot of RumX new and old friends. This year three weren't as many new releases as in 2023, but I still had a great time. Nose Wood, light roasted, faint smoke, light herbal, light mint, plum, faint cherry, light leather, spice. Palate Balance, wood, light roasted, leather, light mint, light coffee, raisin, plum, spice, oily, light herbal, faint medicinal. Finish Long, wood, faint smoke, dried fruit, light plum, light tannins, faint leather, oily, faint coffee, light mint. A very nice and easy drinkable release though the price tage is relatively hight. ABV and wood integration is near perfect.

Relatively sweet and accessible KFM. Just right for a relaxed evening.

The Wild Parrot unveils here an Enmore that is, in my opinion, on the verge of aging too much. The nose reveals the lovely roasted, malty, cocoa and reglissed notes of old Enmore, with that baked caramel reminiscent of molasses and those rather greedy raisins and prunes. There's also a slight herbaceousness, a slightly more pronounced bitterness with wood and rather warm spices. The nose is elegant and shows a rum that has benefited from its advanced age. On the palate, this Enmore is like a grandfather telling stories to his grandchildren: calm, wise but a little less lively. Tobacco and leather round out a dark profile of dark chocolate, molasses, licorice, roasted wood, warm spices, dried fruit (grapes) and overcooked caramel. The rum is delicate and bitter, but lacks body and life. The alcohol is well integrated for the degree. The finish corresponds to the moment when the grandfather takes a nap, lacking a little length and becoming more timid. There's wood, pepper, coffee, leather, malt, dark chocolate/cocoa, licorice, raisins, but also notes of black tea and molasses that amplify the bitterness. A lovely Enmore with experience, but unfortunately no longer at its peak to claim the heights. Moreover, the price for a story of forebears is a little excessive compared to what's available on the market.

Whisky Live Paris 2024 (trade fair evaluation, only overall rating and personal recommendation to buy): Very tasty on the nose, with everything a KFM should have, unfortunately a little thin on the palate. Delicious again on the finish, with nice notes of mint. But I don't have to have a bottle of it.

A somewhat soapy KFM Enmore. Probably not the best cask but fun nonetheless. Timid on most fronts (unlike most of its siblings) and the lavender and soap is most prominent.

WLP 2024 Nejsem si uplně jistý, zda si obhájí svoji poměrně vysokou cenu, nicméně komplexní přijemný nos předesílá, že by mohl. V chuti perfektní integrace dřeva i alkoholu a dlouhý výrazný závěr. Pije se hezky.

Nice profile, but why 49% ??? ... Enmore - drive destilerka, nyni uz jen funkcni destilacni zarizeni. Patrne jedine drevene destilacni zarizeni na svete, ktere se tesi velke oblibe. Rumy Enmore totiz maji prichut popelu, kuze, tezkeho dreva, coz nadchne zejmena milovniky nakourenych whisky. A pokud tradicnim Guyanskym zpusobem prida vyrobce do rumu trochu melasy, mate v lahvi unikatni velmi vyrazny a tezky rum. Jeden z mych oblibenych.
