6,3:On the nose, this one feels better, with burnt sugar, sweet, roasted wood gives us also a caramel, spicy vanilla, pastry, leather, as a molasses brings some tobacco, there are yellow fruits. 6,7:On the palate, quite pleasant attack with roasted wood notes as burnt sugar, caramel, spicy vanilla, dry and quite round, with leather and tobacco, yellow fruits and a bit mineral. 6,4:The finish is medium long, dry with spicy and roasted wood notes, tobacco and yellow fruits.

The liquid History of Puerto Rico Tasting - better than the first two rums. Same aromas, but just stronger (vanilla, caramel, wood and some spice). You feel the alcohol on the nose, not in the mouth. Acceptable in a daiquiri.

06.12.2024 The liquid History of Puerto Rico Tasting First of all, many thanks to Artur for the extreme effort and for sharing such old rums at all. The rums themselves were not really spectacular except for a few exceptions, BUT I still really enjoyed it because you just don't get such rums into your glass as a normal mortal anymore and all this background knowledge that Artur shared I find insanely interesting. I really take my hat off to that. Big respect!

Tasting Puerto Rico rums from Artur. A rather neutral nose but you can feel yellow fruits, honey, caramel, vanilla, oak and neutral alcohol. The mouth is soft, not too diluted with, as on the nose, wood, vanilla and yellow fruits. The finish is short with sweetness at the end. A well-made rum but severely lacking complexity.

Solidly good rum from Puerto Rico. The increased alcohol content definitely helps here, but it's very pleasant to drink. Stands well neat and certainly also great in a Cuba Libre & co. Delicious!

Again some artificial, slightly nutty aromas. Unfortunately poorly integrated alcohol. Otherwise quite solid. Performs very well in Daiquiri.

Puerto Rico Set Nr. 3: Notes from the cask (wood and vanilla) on the nose with some caramel and a slight musty note. Pretty good on the palate with caramel, vanilla and milk chocolate. Well balanced but not overly complex. Cheers to Artur for curating this set!
