Ronrico Gold Label 1960s

Most tasters land on "well made but simple" — pleasant caramel, vanilla and young oak with a bit of leather and tobacco, and the 43% gives it welcome backbone. Where it splits: some call it flat and one-dimensional, others enjoy it as easy sipping. One member said it makes a "surprisingly good" daiquiri. A tidy vintage Puerto Rican column rum, short on complexity.

The community says
  • Clean caramel & vanilla
  • But: One-dimensional
  • But: Lacks complexity

6,3:On the nose, this one feels better, with burnt sugar, sweet, roasted wood gives us also a caramel, spicy vanilla, pastry, leather, as a molasses brings some tobacco, there are yellow fruits. 6,7:On the palate, quite pleasant attack with roasted wood notes as burnt sugar, caramel, spicy vanilla, dry and quite round, with leather and tobacco, yellow fruits and a bit mineral. 6,4:The finish is medium long, dry with spicy and roasted wood notes, tobacco and yellow fruits..

The liquid History of Puerto Rico Tasting - besser als die ersten beiden Rums.

Lecker!

Wieder etwas künstliche, leicht nussige Aromen. Leider schlecht integrierter Alkohol. Ansonsten recht solide. Im Daiqiri performt er sehr gut.
