#4836 Whisky Live in Paris 27.09.2024-30.09.2024. Another great event meeting a lot of RumX new and old friends. This year three weren't as many new releases as in 2023, but I still had a great time. Nose Very fresh, sweet, fruity, light pear, light olive, floral, light vegetal, sugarcane. Palate Smooth, fresh, velvety, fruity, sweet, light funky, light berries, light vegetal, faint citrus. Finish Medium long, fresh, round, fruits, light citrus, faint salt. This rum might be for a mixer but does pretty well as a sipper. Price to quality is also pretty good. I love the smoothness of this release and I'd say it's a pretty easy sipper.

Had a great tasting evening with some neighbors. We enjoyed a beautiful low-ester rum from Mhoba — full of rich sugarcane character/notes. While it really shines in a cocktail, it’s surprisingly smooth and enjoyable neat too.

Verkostet auf der Whisky-Live in Hamburg 2025: Überraschend gefälliger ungelagerter Rum. Schönes Aromenspiel mit kräuterigen Noten, Zuckerrohr und Frucht. Begleitet von leichten Esternoten. Hat mir gut gefallen!

Description Nez:très très odorants et aromatiques. Délicieux. Bouche: après le début de bouche très semblable au river Antoine river !(8,7/10) Que j'apprécie. Très bonne découverte. Fermenté, aromatique ,ester ,sauvage ,un plaisir . Je recommande. Finale: longue,fermenté-sauvage. Conclusion: recommandé 8+,un plaisir ,est semblable au river Antoine river sauve à l'entrée de bouche.

08/11/2025: tasted @ Spirits In The Sky 2025. First time tasting an unaged rum from Mhoba, which is exciting. Comparing it to the unaged Renegade, this Mhoba is way better and easier to sip in my opinion. Don't need a full bottle of it though.
