#4929 Whisky Live in Paris 27.09.2024-30.09.2024. Another great event meeting a lot of RumX new and old friends. This year three weren't as many new releases as in 2023, but I still had a great time. Nose Fresh, medium intense, fruity, light wood, faint smoke, light citrus, banana, light earthy. Palate Oily, medium intense, fresh, light wood, faint salt, light nutts, light tea, banana, fruity. Finish Long and warm, fresh, light wood, faint roasted, faint salt, light nutts, banana, light citrus.

Tasted at the Rhum Fest Paris, partial notes. I think I've pretty much covered it. It starts with banana, smoky notes, and a fresh/herbaceous dimension. On the palate it's oily, nicely salty, and the wood comes in on the finish (quite dominant). A profile that evolves and asserts itself over time.

On the nose cooked tropical fruits, apple, brown sugar, a very light smoke. Really a nice intensity. On the palate, always on well-ripe and sweet fruits, a little spicy at the back of the throat that compensates for this very candied side. The wood arrives quite significantly at the end of the palate. Very long finish on wood and fruits. Bravo, nice selection. Too bad it's a bit expensive.
