First of all, my deepest thanks to Johan in Sweden, who pulled this bottle out of a hat and gave it to me or a member of our tasting gang. The Horizon bottling was the winner for me that evening.

Cooler Chairman's ... never heard of it before but super tasty. Extremely fruity with a broad spectrum of tropical fruits. Really bottled on the sweetspit at 14 years old. Very nice St. Lucia ... I'd love a bottle of that

Frankonian Tasting Gang - 21.03.2025 - Nuremberg: Five Chairman's Reserve in a small cross tasting. The Horizon has a very dominant, mega-fruity nose. Right after pouring, it's there, while the others still need some time to unfold. After a while, RdL and RA catch up. Similar picture on the palate, the three would be my favorites, while the LMDW is too woody for me and the Cask&Bottle has too much finish.

The nose on this one is amazing. It came clearly out as winner of our little side-by-side session. Very fruity with glue and a hint of dirt this might be the bests Chairman’s nose I enjoyed so far. On the palate also very good but does not stand out so much from other contenders as it did on the nose. JD 2 still delivers nicely - recommended if you can find a bottle.

Great rum, the nose is incredibly fruity and complex. Also great on the palate, but very dry on the finish. Nice bottling. 19.08.2025: After tasting a large sample, I have to slightly raise my rating: This is already incredibly good stuff, among the fruitiest ever from the Chairman series. Class!
