#4958 Whisky Live in Paris 27.09.2024-30.09.2024. Another great event meeting a lot of RumX new and old friends. This year three weren't as many new releases as in 2023, but I still had a great time. Nose Medium intense, fresh, light floral, citrus, faint mint, light vegetal. Palate Intense, warm, vegetal, light citrus, light floral, light iodine, sugarcane, faint mint. Finish Very long and warm, light vegetal, light floral, faint herbal, light iodine. This was a real surprise considering the ABV.

Goûté en sample .J appréhendait cette dégustation en voyant le niveau d alcool (86°)! Ce rhum blanc propose concentration et beaucoup d intensité. L alcool est incroyablement bien maîtrisé aussi bien au nez, qu en bouche. Cela reste tout de même un exercice pour le boire.Il y a un très bel équilibre entre les Esters plutôt low et les degrés d alcool très élevés.

Nose of fruits, citrus, very vegetal and floral, smoke and brine. Even with this ABV, surprisingly you can put your nose to it without burning. The palate confirms the nose with a nicely buttery side, it warms but drinks easily. Short finish. Really a nice surprise given the ABV I thought was too high.
