It’s a Traditional Single Cask Rum from Travellers bottled by Rum Exchange. It’s distilled 2009 and bottled in just 252 bottles in 2019. It’s the best rum I’ve tasted from Belize so far. Aromas and flavors is spicy, woody and sweet.

Expected more from this rum. Has a very sweet nose mainly consisting of vanilla. But caramel and honey can also be detected. On the palate also lots of vanilla, brown sugar and spices. For me a bit too sweet and too alcoholic.

I can't say I'm a big fan of Belize, but if I have to compare it with other rums from this destination, I'm satisfied. In the nose lots of caramel, vanilla and sweetness. The taste doesn't surprise, again sweetness, caramel, a bit of cask, gingerbread and confectionery. Nicely integrated alcohol, very pleasant.

The nose is classic Travellers vanilla, dried fruit, cocoa, caramel, coffee and cinnamon. Small minus that it seems alcoholic to me. Taste-wise in a similar spirit. Very drinkable, pleasant combination of caramel, coffee and cocoa. Warm cinnamon finish.

Read full review →This is very good. Very interesting. It reminds me of both English Harbour and Mount Gay rums in equal measure. Not bad company to be keeping. Rum Exchange Belize 2009 is a particularly good example of a column distilled rum. None of those nasty additives either.
