People who like their rum sweet, fruity and easy will get on well here. It's a Barbados-Paraguay blend from Maison Ferrand, heavy on caramelized pineapple, passion fruit and baking spice, with vanilla and a little wood underneath. Several tasters call it "very (too) sweet" but tasty, and a great everyday pour. Fans of drier, bolder rum will find it thin and over-dosed.

Better than its predecessors and seems a bit stronger. A solid entry rum with good mixing ability. But unfortunately, it doesn't reach the first two black casks. Also here, in my opinion, the dosage could be omitted.

A delicious nose with well caramelized tropical fruits mixed with sweet spices. On the palate the tropical fruits are still present. It is very (too) sweet, but tasty. The mid palate is pleasant with the acidity of passion fruit combined with the spices. A very pleasant rum for a Cuba Libre****

Wow. What a great price-performance ratio. Really insane. Great aromas of pineapple and other tropical fruits, strong spice. Very exciting and complex. And all that for the price. For me, it could have a few percent more.

An indulgent nose of caramelized tropical fruit mixed with sweet spices. On the palate, the tropical fruits are still present, accompanied by cinnamon-type spices. It's very (too) sweet but delicious. The medium-bodied fi ale is pleasant, with the acidity of passion fruit combined with spices. A very pleasant aperitif rum offering excellent value for money.

Very fruity blend of Barbados & Paraguay where Paraguay is more prominent. On the nose it is very interesting full of fruity aromas and spices. On the palate it's all about tropical fruits. Coconut, pineapple, banana with dose of baking spices such as vanila or cinnamon. I am very pleased with this fresh take on blending. Very reminiscent of Duppy Share Spiced.

Bought for me dad and we tasted together. I like this more Than last year's expressions. Has more sweetness but also more roasted notes. Some spicyness can also be found so at the end it comes off very balanced and tasty.

Nase schöne Würze, vielversprechend; Zunge ähnlich, ganz leichte Schärfe, nicht schlimm, dann aber deutliche Süße, passt gut zusammen, aber vermutlich eher was für Einsteiger, PLV geht völlig in Ordnung dafür

A bit suprise with low score. For me winner of Black cask releases from Plantation/Plantaray. Despite low abv nice complexity and this I see as great example of super rum for beginner or parties.

Very pleasant and agreeable, with excellent price/enjoyment ratio. In the smell vanilla, caramel and some wood, in the taste fruit notes come through. Nice lingering finish.

A pleasant rum but that can quickly become heavy on the palate. The markers of Paraguay and Barbados are definitely there. A round, rich, fruity, and smoky profile that will surely please those who want to get started with rum.
