Oak, tobacco and soft caramel lead here — the woody, grown-up side of Cuban rum rather than anything fruity or sharp. Fifteen years have rounded it right off: creamy, mild, no edges at 40%, with a little cocoa and a sweetness that comes out most in the finish. New edition of the Havana 15. Same stuff as before, just in a new design. Still makes good drinks like old cuban, daiquiri, and co. Personally, I liked the old design a bit better. But for the money, it's still quite expensive.

Very inviting nose. On the palate, very easy-drinking and tasty – without any rough edges. Ideal for a relaxed evening. However, the price is on the higher end.

The nobler, more refined Havana Club 7 with pleasant wood/oak/cask notes, tobacco, a bit of cocoa, mild, slightly creamy. My absolute favorite among the non-fruity rums, unfortunately expensive. Drinks: - Neat: 5/5

So far the most expensive rum I own and also the best so far. Is it justified to pay well over 100€? Probably not, but I would say if you can get the rum for around 100€, it might be worth a try. The rum is extremely smooth and very pleasant in the mouth, with no sharpness. It’s not too sweet and also shows a woody note. The finish is also very pleasant, and towards the end I find the sweetness of the fruits and caramel comes through strongest.
