Pleasant but nobody's blown away — that's the honest read here. The nose is sweet and easy: vanilla, caramel, a little chocolate, some bright citrus and orchard fruit. On the palate it stays soft and a touch sweet, with honey and the Marsala-cask wood doing most of the talking. A few members find it too restrained, and one flags the alcohol as not fully tucked in. An easy sipper that doesn't ask much of you.

The next Plantation falls a bit, this time Panama. Very sweet nose, there is vanilla, caramel and chocolate. On the palate also quite sweet, especially honey here, otherwise slightly roasted, woody and spicy.

Now the next Planteray this time from Panama. This rum has 43.5 percent Marsala Rum. It's a bit sweet, so not quite my taste.. Alcohol also not well integrated, so not necessarily a recommendation.

Delicate, fresh fruity aroma. Maybe even too delicate. The sweetness in the taste is still acceptable, but again it's too restrained. The wood of the cask stands out the most, which has given a lot to the rum. The fruitiness is nice, as is the finish, but it's just too subtle. It doesn't stand out in anything.
