Planteray Trinidad (Kopke Porto Cask) 2011
The port cask is the twist here: red fruits, dark berries and dark chocolate up front, then a real Portwine note running through the palate that a few tasters loved and a couple found didn't quite gel with the mint. Minty and menthol touches, some coffee, light astringency. A rounder, "gourmand" Trinidad that reads soft but not heavily dosed.

How does Planteray Trinidad (Kopke Porto Cask) 2011 taste?
Aggregated from 19 community reviews.
Fruity, port-finished Trinidad with mint and chocolate Most find it a rounded, fruity Trinidad with a nice port-cask twist — berries, chocolate, mint. A couple feel the mint and port don't fully agree, and one found it too sweet.

Einerseits durch das Port-Finish recht süffig, andererseits finde ich, dass die Kombination hier mit Minze und Port nicht wirklich stimmig ist.

I was lucky enough to test it when I dropped in at the Rhum Attitude boutique in Brussels, and it's really a very gourmand and rounded TDL, with red fruits and chocolate in particular, I think. There are a few hints of mint, but perhaps a little too light for me, who's a big fan of menthol. In any case, for the price, it's very, very good.

Very tasty round TDL with the port finish. Red berries, mint, coffee and dark chocolate with light port wine notes and a nice astringency. Well chosen finish with not too much dosage for variety. I really like it!
