Surprisingly sweet start, accompanied by intense alcohol, fades quite quickly and is replaced by bitter grassiness. Finish shorter, bitter with a fruity departure... freshly opened bottle, will return to it.

It's a light Angostura, don't expect any extra technical or big minty notes. There are slight ones, but you have to look very hard. The finish is strong, sharper, the strength of the alcohol comes to the surface. It will find its fans if they seek a strong but not technical rum.

At first sniff, a sharper smell. The first sip I don't feel anything special and it slightly stings but gradually certain flavors develop in the mouth. It's not minty Angostura, yes I'm probably the hundredth person to say that but I don't think it necessarily has to be even though I like minty flavors. The start is sweet and then slightly grassy but rather discreetly. Flavors are not strong but not unpleasant either. I can imagine drinking it all evening. It's a good rum that I like to pour myself.

Sweet short start, interesting beginning and unfortunately that's overall the best part... Below average Trinidad. No technical notes and depth. Flat, alcoholic rum. There are some grassy and mineral notes, but overall it's something I definitely don't look for in Trinidad.
