The Naud family became famous for their Cognacs, made in a distillery called the Secret Distillery. A name that comes from its geographical location: it was founded by Emile Perrier on a small island well hidden in the arm of a river, the Seugne. For a few years, this distillery has been making other spirits: we have already had the pleasure to taste a vodka and a gin. This time, the brand reveals a rum from Venezuela. It was made from molasses, from canes grown in the state of Aragua, in a historic hacienda of the country. After a first maturation under tropical climate in Bourbon casks, it was shipped to France where it benefited, within the Secret Distillery, from aging in French oak casks. Here it is, showing itself to our eyes after 12 years of maturation. Its beautiful amber robe hides aromas of brown sugar and coconut, all unfolding on an elegant woody background. On the palate, fig, coffee, vanilla and spices compose a harmonious accord, which irresistibly wins our full and complete approval!
