This bottle had interested me since its release. Finally, I managed to taste it blind thanks to a sample sharing. The nose is very fruity and reminds me of a young Guyana PM. There is a fruit brandy side, a mix of mirabelle, plum, and pear. Right at the start of the palate and very quickly, floral soap, then the fruits and brown sugar come back. A fairly long, soft finish, fruity and floral.

Really interesting, and very different from what I expected! Clearly orchard fruits and apple come first, but also notes of old wood. With a bit of focus, smoky notes seep along the glass, and a little glue almost makes me think of a Fiji. On the palate, it’s oily, super pleasant. Notes of pear, apple (again), a slightly toasted woodiness, my usual "grapeseed oil" is also there – an unusual note but it’s stuck in my head – and still some soapy notes, and a slightly annoying bitterness. It’s not an Ylang Ylang but it’s there, in the background amid exotic fruits. And in the end, pineapple takes over on the finish with metallic notes, and a little vanilla (shy, soft, not the sickly kind). A very nice tasting in several parts, with great qualities for this PM 2003! These Guyana rums really have a lot to offer 😎

A bit disappointed, it's a good bottle but I don't really connect with it. I was expecting better harmony... On the nose, there's quite acidic apple, pear, woodiness, and glue. On the palate, you find all that with a certain bitterness, maybe marzipan. Good length on the palate with dried fruits and that sweetness that appears and lingers for a good while!

The beautiful texture of PM 2003 we find this apple granny with notes of butter and a hint of frangipane. It will also appeal to whisky lovers with its Speyside flavour.
