Nose delicious. Explodes flavorfully in the mouth. Nice complexity. Alcohol not perfectly balanced and bordering on musty wood for me.

Great intense spicy nose. Nutmeg and even some pear stand out. On the palate then really power. Ginger, spices, caramel. For a top rating, however, it is a tad too biting. Nevertheless, a great rum!

A very fine selection from Excellence Rhum. The nose is very fragrant and aromatic, with a lively fruitiness (dried fruits on dates, candied and exotic fruits on banana and pineapple), beautiful spices (cloves, nutmeg, vanilla, pepper), an earthy and herbaceous side, but also a sweet, caramelized and honeyed side. The greedy, generous and aromatic side gives a rounded profile that's pleasant to smell. On the palate, the rum expresses experience, age and aromatic variety. The balance between candied, dried (grape, prune, plum) and tart (citrus) fruits, floral and earthy notes, spices (chili, pepper, nutmeg, clove, vanilla), chocolate, leather and honey is very pleasant. Tobacco, caramel and wood add a little extra to a complex, gourmand and elaborate rum. The alcohol is very well integrated. The finish is long and greedy, with roasted wood and chocolate, spices (ginger, vanilla), caramel and dried fruit. On a more vegetal side, floral and tea notes bring a touch of freshness to the palate. The result is a round, elegant and complete rum. A pleasant rum offering a fine sensory experience.

Another very nice rum we tried yesterday and I need to get one for my shelves. The nose is very nice and fruity with spices and it's there from the time you open the bottle. The palate is warm and sharp with alcohol, so I had to let it rest for a while before continuing. Some may want to add a drop or two of water. Less fruity than the nose but nice vanilla and barrel on top. The finish is long and warm with a nice mix of barrel, vanilla and raisin.
