Edit : l’oxydation ramène pas mal d’alcool quand même. Degusté au Spirits Days à Tournai, notes rapides : Nez : ester, fruits, banane flambée Bouche : banane caramélisé, un vrai dessert, des esters bien sur, pas de trop grosse claque sur l'alcool (ni les esters d'ailleurs). Bref : dans le top du salon sans hésiter. Jeune mais carrément agréable, et déjà bien marqué. Très gourmand pour ce niveau d'ester et de jeunesse. Édit : un peu de noisettes en plus, et un alcool un peu mordant.

An intriguing but very positive tasting for me. On the nose: bananas, ester, dried fruit and alcohol. On the palate, the same markers are present: ester and the taste of flambéed bananas. Good length. Typical Jamaican rum, very particular, you have to like this style, personally it's very very good for me!

Mais comme Monsieur est visiblement d’humeur généreuse en cette fin d’année, il n’est pas venu avec une seule bouteille… mais bien avec une seconde surprise à partager : WRHS #1 – Legendary Marques WPE – 65,5% Embouteilleur tchèque connu pour son amour des jeunes Jamaïcains ultra-expressifs — et ici, il reste fidèle à sa réputation avec un mark WPE, le style Extra / High-Ester de Worthy Park : le plus puissant, le plus funky, le plus marqué en caractère de la distillerie. Ce jus a passé 30 mois en fût de chêne américain vierge, sélectionné par Premium Spirits Belgium, apportant un profil unique et franchement audacieux. Pensé pour les amateurs avertis comme pour les passionnés exigeants, il a clairement fait son effet autour de la table ! Jeune, mais costaud, bourré d’esters, avec cette banane bien typique, et une longueur surprenante pour son âge. Perso, je me retrouve bien plus dans cet embouteillage : explosif, oui… mais aussi réellement gourmand ! Un grand merci à John pour le partage 🙏 Et au moment où je publie ces notes… une bien plus grande cuvée semble pointer le bout de son nez pour toi 👶🥂

Early Christmas gift so I opened and shared it directly. This review is aggregated opinion of 2 people Nose : Ester, tropical fruits, some kind of fattiness (not butyric like you could get in some other rums, beeswax Taste : Funky, lots of tropical fruits (pineapple, banana), some wood develop a roasted/tanins after some time in the glass Finish : Medium, again on the beeswax, fruity note I'm not getting tired of those low age funky Jamaican, I think warehouse#1 really got a gem here
