Rum? This bottling has little to do with rum for me. First and foremost, I taste diluted alcohol with delicate aromas. It reminds me more of grappa/fruit brandy. Many thanks to @zabo (Jörg) for the free sample.

7,2:On the nose, fermented sugarcane, grassy, vegetal, reminiscent to grappa, yoghurt notes, citrus fruits, slightly smoky, licorice, bump into our nosetrils, On aeration, the cane is flowery, vegetal with mushrooms, spicy with pepper, slightly synthetic. 6,1:On the palate, the attack is mild, thin with vegetal(mushrooms), flowery sugarcane, mineral, reminiscent to grappa or fruit schnapps, slightly fruity, the cane is spicy with anise, pepper, nutty, a bit smoky, sweet with confectionery, some molasses hints are present, licorice. 5,6:The finish is short, thin, diluted, the cane is vegetal, flowery, pairing mild fruits like pear, slightly smoky undertones with burnt sugar and dark chocolate, confectionery.

Thanks crazyforgoodbooze for the bottles. They're really no highlight, please don't include them in the portfolio. Not even that good on the rum itself, but imaginable in a very light daiquiri. Nothing more.

New white rum from a new distillery in Chiriqui, Panama. Pot still and own sugar cane honey is the name of the game. Vegetable, spicy and hardly any fruity notes, reminds me more of grappa with vanilla and light milk chocolate notes, as well as aniseed and licorice with a slight smokiness. Not really my cup of tea to be honest, although not a bad product.

Very planty from nose to finish. It also smells fermented and like yoghurt on the nose. The sugar cane comes to the fore on the palate and it is reminiscent of grappa. Possibly suitable for mixing, but not my cup of tea on its own. However, the alcohol is well integrated.

Went into this rum with zero expectations and was positively surprised because it has relatively strong aromas considering the circumstances. The buttery and licorice side is interesting! On the palate, rather thin, not much lingers, although other 40% rums perform much worse. But overall solid.

The kind of rum I expect in Sausalitos. At least it has no faults and the alcohol is well integrated. However, this could also be a good vodka. Hardly any taste, nothing there.

Vanilla and some grass but cane juice agricole type vibe isn't super potent in the nose or mouth. Water white pour. A hint of white pepper on the medium finish. Some olive in the nose. A hint of coconut. Had this in a flight at the Casa Baru.

Has a lot of freshly distilled molasses in the smell, on the palate and in the finish. Quite mild and digestible, but at the same time somewhat fusel and flat. What others rated here as grappa is more like a similarity to fruit brandy for me.

I like the nose in this one as it provides some freshness and vegetal notes. No the palate it is a bit too sweet for my liking with asociations to obstler.
