A strong molasses nose, with a little dish soap. There seemed more of a burn with the nose than I had experienced with the blended. The molasses flavor continued with the taste, and there was maybe a little metal as well. Mixed was just OK initially, and the metallic flavor continued for a bit before it faded. Once it did, the drink was pleasant. I’ll be interested in finding the Purple and completing the trio.

This is a Sicilian rum made from pure yellow cane juice. On the nose, I had a hard time getting into it, after finding a few notes of cane, vegetal, olive, lemon essence, quite a mix! The palate remains rather similar and unbalanced. Alcohol rather present. Tasted 3 versions: yellow cane, violet cane and the blend of the 2 canes. I liked the blend the least.

Pure tasting: Nose: some petrol, fresh sugar cane, yellow overripe fruit and lemons and extremely floral and floral. Taste: also very floral and mild, but here too a slightly disturbing petrol note, plus slightly salty and lots of aniseed and fennel notes. Not 100% my cup of tea. Alcohol well integrated. Ti Punch: very tasty and round without any major rough edges!

Sugarcane bomb! Really fresh and grassy. The finish is so so long. It may go beyond a finish to an aftertaste. Alongside the sugarcane is fennel, olive, lemon and mineral. It’s a good drop and I’d line to try their other sugarcane varietal versions.

Agricole-style white rum made from pure single-varietal yellow cane juice. Completely produced in Italy. On the nose, hints of lemon and greener notes typical of agricole. They return on the palate with a stronger alcohol presence. Bitter finish.
