Blind-Tasting zweier Samples, die mir Master-P als Beigabe mitsendete, danke dafür 😍Verkosten im EC Prag-Hamburg. Sample 1.: Nase: deutlich würzig, zu Beginn leicht und nicht unangenehm muffig. Recht trocken und metallisch, salzig, leicht seifig. Verhalten fruchtig mit Papaya und vielleicht etwas getrocknete Aprikose. Von der Nase schwer einzuschätzen, könnte Panama sein oder Ecuador oder alles mögliche außer Jamaika. 8,2 Gaumen: würzig, mit einem seifigen und medizinisch-jodhaltigem Unterton, Umami und Joghurt, Aprikose und fett-süßliche Tonkabohne. Erinnert mich an Martinique-Agricole, dafür aber eigentlich zu fleischig. Wahrscheinlich ist hier irgendein Finish am Werk, das macht’s dann etwas schwieriger. Nicht langweilig und eigentlich ganz spannend. 8,3 Schätze um 50 %

Bin positiv überrascht von diesem Rum. Für ca. 60 Euro bekommt man einen sehr authentischen Rum. Ungezuckert und nicht gefärbt. Für mich in der Nase und im Geschmack tropische Früchte in Verbindung mit dem Holz des Fasses. Das Amarone Finish ist ebenfalls erkennbar. Sehr entspannter Sipper.

8:On the nose, light esters and tropical fruits, mostly banana, bump into our nosetrils, then citrus, green fruits, perhaps gooseberry, very fresh herbaceous and floral, slightly later the picture changes to wood tones, roasted with nuts, leather, spicy. On aeration, synthetic face of this rum comes out, rubbery, strong caramel, red and dried fruits, grassy feeling. 7,2:On the palate, the attack is a bit unpleasant with strong synthetic touch, settling down with sweet roasted wood notes like caramel, leather, later smoky and herbaceous molasses, dried, green and tropical fruits like banana, citrus, underneath a bit medicinal. 7,9:The finish is rounder, dry, quite woody and spicy with nuts, dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla, umami, a bit smoky and a pleasant crunchy confectionery, fruity with citrus and berries, quite dark with black tea and herbaceous.
