Opinions land low and mixed here. Some find it light and easy with faint vanilla and "light papaya flavours," while others call the nose thin, synthetic and a bit boozy for a white rum. A few even get an aniseed, sambuca-like edge they dislike. On the palate it's watery, mildly sweet, with cola and caramel notes. Best treated as an everyday mixing bottle, not a sipper.

Almost cakey nose, tastes cakey too, vanilla, butter. Very nice with little burn and very little to be offended by, just wish it tatsed a tad stronger. Very short finish.

Unfortunately, there were only two types of rum to choose from at Leipzig Zoo. Pampero and Eldorado 12, but I decided to go for the latter because I think it goes better with cola. As the saying goes, when in need, the devil eats flies

So, the next unaged cheap rum :-) I actually find it a bit worse than the previous one. The nose is slightly fruity but also thin and artificial. On the palate, very diluted and thin, yet still alcoholic.

Burun Oldukça çimensi bir yaklaşım. Hafif vanilya notaları hissedilse de blanco ilüzyonu başarılı. Biraz ispirtomsu, üzüm çekirdeği, yeşil üzüm kabuğu. Neredeyse grappa’msı. Haşlanmış mısır alttan. Biraz cila. Keyifsiz etsi bir alt nota. Pamuk şeker. Biraz üre. Vanilyalı muffin veya hafif toasted bir brioche gibi bir taraf. Çok keyifli değil maalesef. Biraz fazla off notaya sahip bence. 62 Damak Düşük, fazlasıyla sulu bir gövde. Orta tatlılık. Grappamsı taraf burada. Bol Vanilya ve muffin, brioche-pain perdu tarafı burada. Hafif çimensilik. Defolar burada daha az hissediliyor neyse ki. Yeşil elma kabuğu ve yeşil üzüm kabuğu. Agave şurubu. Biraz karamelli krokan. Biraz flat. Fazla kompleks değil. Sıkıcı. 69 Bitiş Biraz custard, aseton ve solventsilik. Vanilya. Çimensilik yine. Orta intensity şaşırtıcı şekilde. Kısa bir bitiş var buna rağmen. Biraz beyaz meyve belki; beyaz dut ve mangosteen. Eh. Yine fazla ilginç değil. 73 Genel izlenim Fıçı gördüğünü tahmin etmek gerçekten zor olurdu. Burundaki defolar maalesef biraz fazla hissettiriyor kendini. Damakta da biraz düz kalıyor ancak bitişte beklediğimden biraz daha intense olmasıyla birkaç puan koparıyor. Eh. Tasting When tasting this rum it just reminds me clearly of sambuca.the distillate must be very quick and I would place it in the spice category more than the white rum category ... This is awful stuff .. very aniseed flavour and disgusting .do not buy

Solid white rum with light vanilla aromas and distinctly 'rummier' and milder (due to slight sweetness, sugar content?) than e.g. Bacardi Carta Blanca. - Neat: 3/5

Read full review ›Unfortunately for me it doesn't work all that well mixed with cola. It's not bad but I enjoyed it more with lemonade or even soda water. You seem to be able to pick this up online for as little as £15 if you shop around. It's well worth a try....
