I got this rum to see if I want to support the crowdfunding for the 4000l rum still. So the first investment should be the bottle.\n\nWith a young rum distillery, I was glad to get an unsweetened product at cask strength. Let's see what we get to taste here.\n\nOn the nose molasses, then spirit. A bit floral, quite undefinable. A bit flat.\n\nOn the palate quite soft. Not as spirituous as expected. At the back, nice aromas unfold, woody, warm. Pleasant sweetness. A bit nutty.\n\nOn the second try everything a bit more intense. Then a pleasant, unexpectedly long finish with caramel and wood.\n\nWell, what can you say. It’s a long way to go.\nI would be happy if they tried to produce a top rum here in the long term.\nFirst nuances are definitely recognizable compared to other European attempts to "just quickly" make a rum. Sweetened, this one would easily keep up with common spiced rums, but I hope that is not the goal.\n\nI give 6.8 stars and am curious what else we will get from this house.
