On paper, I thought this would be trash again. But in the glass, it's actually quite pleasant. Surprisingly well balanced even. Neither the red wine cask nor the Japanese origin come across as overpowering. Nice experiment!

7,4:On the nose, the first impression we get is herbaceous and flowery, green with garden fruits, there are wine notes, perhaps dried fruits and spicy wood. On aeration, sugarcane is grassy with hay, sweet with honey, fresh with tea, some whisky notes are obvious. 7,7:On the palate, the attack is light, thin, with herbaceous sugar cane, sweet with honey, vegetal with hay, the wood is slightly roasted with caramel, nougat, spicy with vanilla. On oxidation, the rum is sharp, diluted, green and flowery, there are some wine notes with dried fruits, grapes and perhaps banana. 7,3:The finish is short, diluted, dry, less interesting, mostly with mild sugarcane notes, some woodiness and faint fruits. On the nose herbs and fine notes of lychee. On the palate then the very pleasant taste of a hay meadow with subtle sweetness. On the finish then a light lychee note. I can only perceive the red wine influence very subtly. My first Japanese rum. Exciting! But like my predecessor, I have little Agricole experience!
