The virgin American oak sets the tone here, lots of bourbon-like aromas like sour cherry, caramel, popcorn, tonka bean, toasted oak, baked apple and honey but also tannins and a slight acidity from the cask. Pleasant to drink, good alcohol integration, very balanced and tasty. But overall not the most complex. Extremely impressive performance for 14 months.

#7165 15.08.2026 Having a few samples after a nice walk with my wife visiting the Danish school schip Georg Stage. Listening to some nice old Armin van Buuren on Spotify. This is a very nice Mhoba in my mind. Agricole like profile with fruits, overripe fruits, glue, varnish, ester, roasted wood and some smoke.

Great American Oak influence, which tames the high ester distillate well. Very tasty and spicy. I really like it.
