A successful blend for relaxed sipping in the evening. Not a complexity monster, but with gently changing aromas. More Barbados and a little Jamaica on the nose, the barrel influence and Panama are noticeable on the palate. Subtle on the palate. The alcohol is perfectly integrated. The finish follows the palate and ends gently.

The aroma is dominated by coconut with a little vanilla and something else interesting like eucalyptus perhaps? The taste is mainly coconut, spices, vanilla cream or ice cream. The finish is mainly coconut and again vanilla ice cream. It's not bad, but it doesn't have much to offer.

A very nice blend, I personally find it very successful. Not the absolute top class, but good for relaxing in between. Even after some time in the glass, I think I recognize a few dirty notes that remind me very slightly of Caroni notes in the broadest sense.

#6943 20.06.2026 Relaxing after a nice training session in front of the TV watching Still a Mystery on HBO. This is a pretty successful cask experiment in my mind and th price tag is also decent. Medium intense profile with fruits, roasted wood, spice, chocolate, light tobacco and a hint of smoke.

8,2:On the nose, medicinal with glue, slightly metallic, tropical fruits like coconut, dried apricots, raisins, sweet toasted wood notes like caramel, marzipan, biscuits, chocolate, spicy vanilla, buttery, leather and eucalyptus, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, pineapple, citrus fruits, cherries, berries and candied fruits arise, green pepper and baking spices, molasses is slightly flowery, hints of smoke join. 7,9:On the palate, the attack is mild, sweet, oily with toasted wood notes like salted caramel, marzipan, pastry, biscuits, spicy vanilla, warm with baking spices, peppery, medicinal with glue, slightly metallic, fruity with coconut, dried apricots, raisins, figs, yellow fruits, mirabelle plum, molasses is floral. 8:The finish is medium long, dry&tannic, medicinal, slightly chemical, oak is toasted with caramel candy, brown sugar, coffee, chocolate, spicy, creamy, fruity with dried, tropical fruits.

Great blend. Alcohol very well integrated. The Guyana Cask Finish is not too dominant, but recognizable. Tasted again today. I still really like it. Great daily sipper with very good PLV.

Nose buttery, floral, light cinnamon, coconut cream, minimal spice, forest floor, slightly fermented pineapple. The Guyana influence of the barrels (PM, SWR, KFM) is of course marketing, but the rum is much more complex in the mouth than the sweetish nose suggests. You can definitely taste some typical Guyana vibes, especially in the finish. A multi-layered but easily accessible blend that twists and turns and is barely tangible. At 60.2%, it also has plenty of power and a nice oily mouthfeel.

The rum is pleasant with a good body and finish. Really an interesting rum that improves with breathing. You can really enjoy it but also analyze it further. The J, B, and P components dominate in different phases. Very nice how the rum shifts. Can I taste the barrel types: No. Too bad. For those who dare, surely a great bonus. But that doesn't bother me. I'll buy a second bottle.
