#6961 25.06.2026 My son is on the way to visit his mom in China and my training is done for today. Time for some samples before my wife gets home from work. Good old rums come with a hefty price tag and so does this one. Very nice and medium intense rum with fruits, licorice, mint, spice, caramel and roasted wood.

Immediately after pouring, the smell was still very shy and unspectacular, but after a good half hour in the glass, a beguiling aroma of ripe oak aromas, sweet fruits and mild spices with a subtle hint of violets developed. This is continued consistently and elegantly on the palate, whereby the whole is carried by a recognizable sweetness, without which I would have liked the rum even more. Many thanks @Rumurmel for the sample!

Tasted together with the extended FranconianTasting gang, but with honorary member Jakob. In this 3-flight RX19982, RX25592 and RX22454. All old Cubans provided by Rumurmel. For me the ranking would be: 1. RX25592 2. RX19982 3. RX22454

That colour, OMG it is amazing! Taste - less addictions than in 45yo version, but still there is a lot of them. Caramel and tropical red fruit

Super dark in color, yet not taste full of wood. Caramel, nuts, but also fruit and raisins. With more time in the glass other aromas come in but the typical still heavy oily rum with a sweet profile.
